Napoli<\/a> defender Kalidou Koulibaly<\/a> has given a big hint over his future at the Italian club. The centre-back, valued at \u00a370 million, is being closely tracked by some of football’s elite<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kalidou Koulibaly Sends Out Message Over His Future<\/h2>\n

Koulibaly on the Shortlist of Europe’s Elite<\/h3>\n

Koulibaly joined Napoli in 2014 from Belgian side KRC Genk<\/a> and has made over 175 appearances since. Despite his 2019\/20 season being blighted by injuries, with Koulibaly featuring just 19 times, he is still in high demand.<\/p>\n

The likes of Liverpool<\/a>, Manchester United<\/a>, Manchester City<\/a> and Real Madrid<\/a> have all been vying for his signature<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Transfer rumours regarding Koulibaly joining one of Europe’s elite have increased in recent months.<\/p>\n

However, according to reports in Italy, the Senegalese international has indicated that he sees his future in Naples.<\/p>\n

Koulibaly: I am 100 Percent Napoli<\/h3>\n

Koulibaly, who captains his national team, told La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/a><\/em>: “In football, you never know what happens. I never spoke to Napoli about leaving.<\/p>\n

“If we have to find a solution, we will find it, but I have never talked about the transfer market.<\/p>\n

“I also read in the newspapers about my future. But I only want to think about playing, I am 100 per cent Napoli and it bothers me to be linked, every day, to this or that European club.”<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old went on to say: “We will see what the president will decide and if he proposes to extend my contract, that would allow me to end my career here.”<\/p>\n

He signed a new contract in 2018 that would keep him in Southern Italy until at least 2023, by which time he will be 32-years-old.<\/p>\n

Kalidou Koulibaly to Disappoint Suitors<\/h3>\n

This news regarding the Napoli defender’s future may come as bad news to chief executives across Europe.<\/p>\n

Koulibaly has been tracked by some of Europe’s top clubs but he may have now cast considerable doubt over any move.<\/p>\n

At the age of 29, it may be now or never for a move away from the San Paolo. Yet this pledge of loyalty to Napoli could force the chasing pack of clubs to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n
