Werder Bremen have confirmed that winger Milot Rashica<\/a> wants to leave the club this summer. His progress has been closely monitored by both Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.<\/p>\n

Liverpool and Wolves Target Ready to Leave Club<\/h2>\n

Liverpool Among the Clubs Tracking Rashica<\/h3>\n

The Kosovo international is keen to take the next step in his career after a successful season with the German club.<\/p>\n

According to Bundesliga News<\/a>, Werder Bremen have opened talks with a club over a deal for the 24-year-old.<\/p>\n

Rashica has a \u00a333 million release clause in his current contract at the German club. Along with Liverpool<\/a> and Wolves<\/a>, the likes of AC Milan<\/a>, RB Leipzig and Hertha Berlin are also keen on the winger.<\/p>\n

Last month, the Birmingham Mail<\/a> reported that he was “saying goodbye” to Werder Bremen.<\/p>\n

Werder Bremen in Talks With Unnamed Club<\/h3>\n

Werder Bremen’s sporting director Frank Baumann told the media on Friday that Rashica has requested to leave this summer.<\/p>\n

Baumann said: “Other than Milot Rashica, who wants to take the next step in his career, no player has come to us and said they want to leave the club.”<\/p>\n

Bremen, it appears, are preparing for life without the Kosovo international.<\/p>\n

Baumann told the official club website<\/a>: \u201cWe assume that Milot will not be playing for us next season. A number of clubs are interested in him. Nevertheless, a lot of top clubs have had to stop their transfer activities recently. We will have to see when things start to happen again in the transfer market,<\/p>\n

Rashica In Demand After Successful Season<\/h3>\n

The Kosovan joined Werder Bremen in January 2018 from Vitesse Arnhem and has gone from strength to strength.<\/p>\n

In 74 appearances for the club, he’s scored 24 goals and earned a further 14 assists. Rashica scored nine of those goals during this campaign despite his side being in a relegation battle.<\/p>\n

Werder Bremen kept their Bundesliga status by the barest of margins after drawing 2-2 with Heidenheim over two legs<\/a>; Florian Kohfeldt’s side survived thanks to away goals.<\/p>\n

He previously represented Albania at both youth and senior level before switching to represent Kosovo in 2016. He has gone on to make 25 appearances for the country.<\/p>\n

With Werder set to be battling for survival yet again next season, it appears even more likely that Rashica will move on and the likes of Liverpool and Wolves will be keen to make a move.<\/p>\n
