With the Premier League title wrapped up, Liverpool<\/a> and Mohamed Salah<\/a> don’t have much to play for now. But, the Egyptian will be hoping to continue his recent scoring run – he currently has 19 goals, three back from Jamie Vardy<\/a>, who leads the charts with 22. The next opportunity presents itself as the Reds welcome Burnley<\/a> on Saturday at Anfield.<\/p>\n

If Salah can catch Vardy then he will become only the second player in Premier League history to win three successive Golden Boots, the other player being Arsenal legend Thierry Henry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Liverpool Looking for Third Successive Win<\/h3>\n

After being thrashed by Manchester City<\/a>, Liverpool have bounced back. After an unconvincing win over Aston Villa<\/a>, the Reds swept Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> away with a great performance.<\/p>\n

Salah was unbelievable in that win. The winger scored two fantastic goals as the Reds showed their class. However, his determination for the Golden Boot was demonstrated in the final moments.<\/p>\n

After missing an easy chance for his hat-trick, the Egyptian seemed furious with himself.<\/p>\n

The visit of Burnley may just be the opportunity he needs to score some more goals.<\/p>\n

Another player that will be looking to impress is Naby Keita<\/a>. The midfielder has had a difficult time at Anfield since his move as injuries has ruined his potential.<\/p>\n

But, since the resumption of play, the Guinean has been one of the club’s best players. With reports linking<\/a> Thiago to the club, he will be keen to show Klopp that a new midfielder is not needed.<\/p>\n

This game may also be a good chance for Curtis Jones<\/a> to show his talent. With nothing on the line, Klopp may be tempted to give the youngster another appearance. Jones hasn’t played a lot this season, but he has impressed when he’s been on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Burnley Have Nothing to Play for<\/h3>\n

Burnley are sat comfortably in the ninth-place in the Premier League table. They are in a situation where they won’t go down, and they have no chance to qualify for Europe.<\/p>\n

The Clarets have been impressive since the return to action and are unbeaten in their last four games. Manager Sean Dyche has created an influential culture. His team makes it difficult for all who play against them, and his team won’t make it easy for Liverpool.<\/p>\n

However, they are missing several key players. They are set to be without Jack Cork<\/a>, Ben Mee<\/a>, Ashley Barnes<\/a> and Matt Lowton for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

The Clarets will especially miss Mee. The defender would play a key role in repelling Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Previous Meeting<\/h3>\n

The last time these clubs met Liverpool showed their class. The Reds dominated as they came out 3-0 winners – strikes from Sadio Mane<\/a> and Roberto Firmino<\/a> and Chris Wood<\/a>‘s own goal sealed the victory. Liverpool looked like champions on that day in August.<\/p>\n

Prediction<\/h3>\n

Despite both teams having nothing to play for, the Reds are chasing records. Salah knows that a few more goals can lead to a third Golden Boot. Also, they can potentially get closer to Manchester City’s Premier League record of 100 points with a win.<\/p>\n

Even with Burnley’s good form, their injuries leave them in a bad spot. Liverpool should win this game comfortably.<\/p>\n
