After a commanding 4-0 win against nine-man Fleetwood, Wycombe Wanderers look destined to reach the League One Play-off Final.<\/span><\/p>\n

First-Leg<\/span><\/h3>\n

It was an extraordinary game at Highbury Stadium, one that saw two sending offs and produced three goals in six minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wycombe<\/a> midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh<\/a> opened the scoring after 75 seconds with Fleetwood equalising after four minutes through a Ched Evans<\/a> penalty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fleetwood<\/a> goalkeeper Alex Cairns scored an own goal to put Wycombe 2-1 in front. David Wheeler<\/a> and Alex Samuel<\/a> added goals to make it 4-1 for Wycombe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lewis Coyle and Paddy Madden<\/a> will be missing for Fleetwood as both will be suspended due to picking up red cards in the first-leg.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fleetwood Still Believe<\/h3>\n

Fleetwood Town manager Joey Barton spoke with the club’s website<\/a> after the game and gave his thoughts on what the second-leg may bring.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLook, them boys can\u2019t let us down. You start a season and all you want is your players to give you everything week in, week out and you know there\u2019s going to be weeks when they\u2019re bad, and you know there\u2019s going to be moments when they\u2019re good, and you buy into what they\u2019re about.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut we believe, I\u2019m telling you now we will go there believing and give it everything we have got. If we come up short, we come up short. We\u2019ve still finished in the play-offs, we\u2019ve still finished above Sunderland, Ipswich, and some big, big clubs to get this opportunity.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe haven\u2019t maximised it tonight, but Monday night we are still alive in this and whilst there\u2019s a fight, you\u2019ve got a chance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Wycombe Urged to Respect Fleetwood<\/span><\/h3>\n

Despite taking a three-goal advantage into Monday’s return leg, Ainsworth urged his Wycombe side not to be complacent<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Of course this is a great result here but we’ve got to be careful in the second leg,” the 47-year-old said.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s only half-time in the tie and Fleetwood are a really good side. You could see that by the way they kept possession so well even when they’d gone down to 10 men.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We’ve got to get it right again on Monday and we need to be performing to the same high levels. We have to show Fleetwood respect, though.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We can’t go into the second leg thinking this tie is over and we’re going to Wembley.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Predictions<\/h3>\n

It’s Wycombe’s for the taking as they have taken a three-goal lead into this second-leg and it will be a shock if they did lose this game.<\/p>\n

Fleetwood will be up for it though, and will take the game to Wycombe. However, it may be too much for Fleetwood to recover.<\/p>\n
