Manchester City<\/a> manager Pep Guardiola has ruled out a move to bring Borussia Dortmund<\/a> forward Jadon Sancho<\/a> back to the Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n

Sancho is one of Europe’s most talked-about talents and is sure to be at the forefront of a transfer saga throughout the forthcoming window.<\/p>\n

Jadon Sancho Return to Manchester City Wouldn’t Make Sense<\/h2>\n

Ruling Out a Return<\/h3>\n

Guardiola wanted to keep Sancho at Manchester City in 2017. The Citizens even made him a lucrative \u00a330,000-a-week<\/a> contract offer. However, Sancho made the move to Germany and hasn’t looked back – until now?<\/p>\n

Sancho is a different prospect. Then he was a boy. He now faces the prospect of a return to England as one of the most sought after forwards in the game.<\/p>\n

He has been involved in an eye-opening 77 goals in his 99 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n

But that’s not convincing Guardiola.<\/p>\n

“No, no, no. He decided to leave, why should he decide to come back?” he told reporters<\/a> at his press conference ahead of today’s game against Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“When he decided to move to Dortmund it’s not because he is going to decide to come back one year later. It would make no sense.”<\/p>\n

Sancho Could Join Manchester Rivals<\/h3>\n

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently revealed<\/a> the Bundesliga<\/a> side are willing to move Sancho on, should their valuation be met.<\/p>\n

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently suggested<\/a> Sancho would not be making the move to the Premier League champions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Manchester United<\/a> have long been said to be keen<\/a> to take the former Manchester City academy product.<\/p>\n

The more clubs rule themselves out, the greater confidence Manchester United will have in making a deal happen.<\/p>\n

City Hold Advantage<\/h3>\n

Pep Guardiola may not seem bothered about a Sancho return, but City were opposed<\/a> to allowing him to join a rival Premier League club in 2017.<\/p>\n

They are also able to prevent such an occurrence happening in his next move, though they might have to cough up a large sum to do so.<\/p>\n

Sancho would not come cheap. Few clubs around the world display the financial power to acquire his signature.<\/p>\n

When he left for \u00a38 million<\/a>,\u00a0City inserted an option to match<\/a> any future offers. So they would, in theory, have first refusal should the England<\/a> international decide to leave.<\/p>\n

With Guardiola seemingly not even considering a return, it would suggest Manchester City have no plans to activate their option.<\/p>\n
