Mansfield Town<\/a> have announced the signing of former Luton Town goalkeeper Marek Stech<\/a> on a two-year contract. The 30-year-old goalkeeper is Mansfield Town’s third signing of the summer after they previously added strikers Jamie Reid and Jordan Bowery.<\/p>\n

Marek Stech Joins Mansfield Town<\/h2>\n

Vital Part at Previous Club<\/h3>\n

The 6’5″ stopper played a crucial role in Luton’s promotion to League One in 2017\/18, a season in which he was named in the PFA Team of the Year.<\/p>\n

In the same campaign, the former West Ham United<\/a> goalkeeper kept 15 clean sheets in 42 appearances.<\/p>\n

Previously, the 30-year-old enjoyed a year three spell with Sparta Prague, which included winning the Czech Supercup.<\/p>\n

Stech earned his first promotion in England with Yeovil Town, helping the Glovers to promotion from League One<\/a> and later playing in the Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Stech is a Quality Goalkeeper<\/h3>\n

\u201cMarek is a top goalkeeper who has presence, stature and a great pedigree,\u201d manager Graham Coughlan told the club website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been chasing him for 12 months, so to finally land him is a big relief.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, being promoted with his previous club shows the experience that he has amassed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with our goalkeeping coach, Seamus McDonagh, they will drive the goalkeeping department and help our younger goalkeepers grow and develop.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mansfield Town’s Recruitment Has Been Excellent<\/h3>\n

The first signing for Mansfield Town came as they signed ex-MK Dons player Jordan Bowery<\/a>, who can provide some experience at League Two level.<\/p>\n

A few days later, Jamie Reid<\/a> signed for the Stags with the striker having played for the likes of Exeter City and Torquay United.<\/p>\n

His goalscoring record for Torquay speaks for itself, being the top goalscorer for them in two seasons, which lured Mansfield Town into signing the player.<\/p>\n

The signings will keep on coming for the Stags as they look to recruit new players after releasing 11 players at the end of the 2019\/20 season.<\/p>\n
