Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watze has confirmed that the club would be willing to sell Jadon Sancho<\/a> if their valuation is met. However, he is confident that the forward will stay at the club next season.<\/p>\n

He says that Sancho has not expressed unhappiness with his current situation. Also, he doesn’t think clubs will be able to afford him.<\/p>\n

“If Jadon comes up to us and says he absolutely wants to leave \u2013 which has not been the case so far \u2013 and a club wants to pay what we want, then we will discuss it,” the CEO told Sport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think a club will pay the sum. There is also no coronavirus discount on him.”<\/p>\n

Borussia Dortmund CEO Thinks Jadon Sancho Will Stay With Club<\/h2>\n

A Different Market<\/h3>\n

The Coronavirus pandemic has hit football clubs hard financially. Even with games resuming, a lack of fans in the grounds means revenues have been cut.<\/p>\n

In the Premier League, teams have already “permanently lost” \u00a3500 million, according to a report by Deloitte<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition, Manchester United<\/a>, the team that has most heavily been linked<\/a> to Sancho, have already lost \u00a328 million due to COVID-19. This has led to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a> confirming that the club will have a quiet transfer window.<\/p>\n

“I think it’ll be a calm transfer window or a slightly different kind of window,” Solskjaer said<\/a>. “I think a lot of clubs will have to be careful not to spend too much money.<\/p>\n

“You might still not know how much you’ve lost financially during this pandemic and what’s gone on lately.”<\/p>\n

With Sancho surely set to cost over \u00a3100 million, it seems unlikely that even the wealthiest clubs in the world would be able to afford him.<\/p>\n

Jadon Sancho is Happy at Dortmund<\/h3>\n

Another factor why Sancho would probably not leave is that he is happy at Dortmund. After leaving Manchester City’s<\/a> academy, the youngster has been a star in Germany.<\/p>\n

He has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 17 goals and laying on 16 assists in 2019\/2020.<\/p>\n

And he hasn’t been slowed down by the forced break due to COVID-19.\u00a0The youngster scored an impressive hat-trick in his return to Bundesliga action.<\/p>\n

Staying for another season may be the best move for Sancho as he would continue his impressive development in an environment where he already thrives. Also, a full campaign with striker Erling Braut H\u00e5land<\/a> may lead to some trophies. The Norwegian is a goal machine who has struck an impressive partnership with Sancho.<\/p>\n

“We combine very well, and we’re able to bring that into the games and help the team,” said<\/a> Sancho about H\u00e5land. “I’m really happy that he’s here.”<\/p>\n

And the two of them may just lead Dortmund back to the Bundesliga crown. They surely have the best chance to dethrone Bayern Munich<\/a>.<\/p>\n
