Serie A<\/a> giants Inter Milan<\/a> are in advanced talks to sign Real Madrid<\/a>‘s Achraf Hakimi<\/a>, reports Fabrizio Romano<\/a>. Hakimi is approaching the end of a two-year loan stay at Borussia Dortmund<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hakimi Open to Inter Move<\/h3>\n

Hakimi has been a regular at Borussia Dortmund and wants to leave Real Madrid to be a starter. Inter Milan have contacted Real Madrid about a possible move and Hakimi has accepted the opportunity to listen to an offer. Hakimi is Antonio Conte’s first choice in pursuit of a right-back.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Gianluca Di Marzio<\/a> adds that a deal is coming close and will cost Inter \u20ac40 million.<\/p>\n

Conte’s Nerazzurri Making Big Moves<\/h3>\n

Since the appointment of former Chelsea<\/a> and Juventus<\/a> coach Antonio Conte, Inter Milan, aided by former Juventus CEO for sport Giuseppe Marotta, have been building a squad to challenge the Old Lady.<\/p>\n

Having taken Alexis Sanchez<\/a>, Ashley Young<\/a> and Romelu Lukaku<\/a>, all from Manchester United<\/a>, in his first season, among others, Conte is a man with a plan. Inter have definitely improved under his guidance and are looking to progress further.<\/p>\n

Yet, this may be the most eye-opening piece of business from them since hiring Conte, if they can pull it off.<\/p>\n

One of the Most Promising Talents in Europe<\/h3>\n

Hakimi, 21, has contributed to 19 goals in his 44 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season. He scored nine of them.<\/p>\n

Last season, he played a hand in ten goals in 28 appearances for the Bundesliga<\/a> outfit.<\/p>\n

It’s important for a full-back to be good going forward in this day and age. Hakimi is proving to be exactly that. He has struck an exceptional link-up with Jadon Sancho<\/a>, 20 – another one of Europe’s most exciting players.<\/p>\n

Dortmund have already<\/a> signed Thomas Meunier<\/a>, perhaps admitting they will not be able to acquire Hakimi permanently.<\/p>\n

Perfect for Inter<\/h3>\n

Hakimi should fit right in at Inter where, like at Dortmund, Conte executes a system with three centre-backs. So, Hakimi will slot into a very similar role to that of which he has experienced for the last two years.<\/p>\n

Inter have so far started with Antonio Candreva<\/a> and Victor Moses<\/a> in the right wing-back role since Italian football returned and Achraf Hakimi would be a major improvement.<\/p>\n
