David Silva is in high demand as clubs await his Manchester City<\/a> exit. Now, he has been linked to a surprise move to a club in Qatar.<\/span><\/p>\n

After ten seasons of showcasing his skills for Manchester City, the <\/span>Spaniard<\/span> has decided <\/span>to leave<\/span> the club on a free transfer. Although aged 34, he remains in high demand. When you are as talented as Silva, age is less of a factor. <\/span>Therefore,<\/span> it is of little surprise,that a number of leading <\/span>clubs<\/span> around the world are being linked to the midfielder.<\/span><\/p>\n

For months, he has been heavily tipped to join Inter <\/a><\/span>Miami<\/span><\/a> in the USA<\/a>. Inter <\/span><\/span>Miami<\/span><\/span> are the Major League Soccer (MLS) club owned by David Beckham.<\/span><\/span><\/span> Alternatively, <\/span>it<\/span> has been suggested that Silva could opt for an emotional<\/span><\/span> return to his former club Valencia<\/a> of La Liga. <\/span>A<\/span> move to Italy is another option, with AC Milan<\/a> l<\/span>eading the Serie A chase<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, according to a report in Spain by Pablo Planas of Mundo Deportivo<\/a>, backed up by Daniel Murphy of the Manchester Evening News<\/a>, a new destination is now more probable for Silva. This is Al-<\/span>Duhail<\/span> of Qatar, whose squad includes former Juventus<\/a> duo Medhi <\/span>Benatia<\/span> and Mario Mandzukic.<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>t will be quite a transfer coup i<\/span>f this happens, as he is also linked with rival Qatari side Al <\/a><\/span>Sadd<\/span><\/a>. This <\/span>speculation<\/span> arose as Al <\/span>Sadd<\/span> are managed by Silva’s former <\/span>Spanish<\/span> international teammate Xavi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Out of Contract<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, Silva has extended his contract with Manchester City until the end of their 2019\/20 season. Originally, it was due to expire at the end of June, but the suspension of football complicated matters. Like many other out-of-contract players, he has agreed an extension to cover the remaining fixtures.<\/span><\/p>\n
