Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 30+ sees the long-awaited return of FPL on Wednesday, June 17 with a double gameweek for Arsenal<\/a>, Aston Villa<\/a>, Manchester City<\/a> and Sheffield United<\/a>. This is likely to be the last Double Gameweek of the season, so maximising your points haul will be crucial. Read ahead to find out more about this crucial gameweek.<\/p>\n

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 30+ Picks<\/h2>\n

Quick Tips<\/h3>\n

As FPL has presented us with unlimited transfers ahead of Gameweek 30+, those without a wildcard get a chance to set their team up for the rest of the season. So, there should be a balance between going gungho for double gamers this week and also maintaining squad value and a good squad for the rest of the season. Those with a wildcard left can maybe aim for 11 or 12 double gamers and use the wildcard next gameweek. Also, this is probably the best week to use your benchboost chip as there are no more double gameweeks this season.<\/p>\n

Goalkeepers<\/h3>\n

Dean Henderson<\/a> is perhaps the best bet for this week. With no crowds to cheer the home team on, it is arguable whether home teams are getting any advantage in this new environment. Hence, two away games should not pose a huge problem for the Blades.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa are fighting against the drop and Newcastle United<\/a> are set to finish in a lowly position again. The Blades have every chance to keep back-to-back clean sheets this week. The match against Newcastle seems especially juicy as the Magpies have a really poor attacking record. In fact, they have scored only 25 goals in 29 games<\/a> this season, which is the joint-worst attacking record in the division. Henderson will miss next week’s trip to Old Trafford, though, as he is ineligible to play against his parent club.<\/p>\n

Manchester City’s Ederson has two home games this week, so he should be strongly considered as well. There are two issues to consider, though. His price is a bit high and also he takes up one valuable Manchester City slot which could be better filled by a City attacker. Considering the remaining fixtures, Ederson could be a good option for the rest of the season as well.<\/p>\n

The other two goalkeepers with two games are both shaky options. Bernd Leno<\/a> could ship a lot of goals against Manchester City and the Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> game might also be tricky. Aston Villa have conceded the most goals this season<\/a> so Pepe Reina<\/a> will also be a very brave choice.<\/p>\n

With Leicester City<\/a> facing four bottom-half sides in a row, FPL managers could consider Kasper Schmeichel<\/a> as well. Also, the highest-scoring goalkeeper so far, Nick Pope<\/a>, cannot be ignored. Although, without the raucous home support, Burnley<\/a> could fare differently in their home games.<\/p>\n

Defenders<\/h3>\n

As aforementioned, Sheffield United have two possible shots at keeping a clean sheet this gameweek. This definitely makes their defenders attractive options. George Baldock<\/a> and John Egan<\/a> are probably the best and safest to pick. John ‘Lord’ Lundstram’s starting place is under threat by Sander Berge<\/a> so be cautious if you are looking to pick him.<\/p>\n

It is very difficult to predict which if any Manchester City defender will start both games this week. So, the units might be better spent elsewhere.<\/p>\n

David Luiz<\/a> has performed much better under Mikel Arteta<\/a> than he ever did for Unai Emery. He also has the potential to get an assist or two, and also takes free-kicks regularly, so could chip in a goal here or there.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa have cheap options like Tyrone Mings<\/a> and Matt Targett<\/a> but how many points they will be able to pick up given Villa’s leaky defence is a question to consider.<\/p>\n

James Justin<\/a> from Leicester City could be a good punt considering Ricardo Perreira<\/a> is out for the season. When considering defenders from Newcastle, Jamal Lascelles and Federico Fern\u00e1ndez<\/a> should be in the frame. Players from Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> like Matt Doherty<\/a> are also worth to keep in mind.<\/p>\n

Midfielders<\/h3>\n

Kevin De Bruyne<\/a> is definitely the best midfield pick and probably the best option for the armband this week. The Belgian picked up a mammoth 19 points against Arsenal back in Gameweek 17. Will he run through the Arsenal defence again this week? Riyad Mahrez<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Raheem Sterling<\/a> are also worthy options but will they start both matches?<\/p>\n

Leroy San\u00e9<\/a>‘s return to fitness makes things tricky. Pep Guardiola<\/a> can now make five substitutions<\/a>. With so many options to choose from, who knows what he will do?<\/p>\n

Jack Grealish<\/a> is a must-have for the rest of the season. With Aston Villa fighting against the drop, he will be absolutely vital for them. With his midfield partner John McGinn<\/a> back,<\/a> Grealish should be able to flourish. McGinn himself is also a good option.<\/p>\n

John Fleck<\/a> is the one to consider if you want a Sheffield United representative.<\/p>\n

From Arsenal, it is difficult to predict who will start both games. Bukayo Saka<\/a> did well at left-back before the break but with Kieran Tierney<\/a> back to full fitness, the Scot could be Arteta’s choice now. Sead Kolasinac is also fit now. This is the lineup chosen to start by Mikel Arteta<\/a> in their friendly against Charlton Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, David Luiz<\/a>, Tierney; Guendouzi, Maitland-Niles; Nelson, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette<\/p>\n

The following was chosen against Brentford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Mari, Tierney; Willock, Ceballos; Saka, Pepe, Nketiah; Aubameyang<\/p>\n

From that, it’s safe to assume Saka’s days at left-back are over, with Tierney the preferred choice, but then again those were only friendlies.<\/p>\n

As a long term option, Bruno Fernandes<\/a> is a solid choice. He was in sublime form before the break and has a reasonable run of fixtures after the Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> game this week.<\/p>\n

Strikers<\/h3>\n

With two home games, Sergio Aguero<\/a> is a perfect choice this gameweek. Even if he starts only one game, one expects him to get 90 minutes over the two matches. That should be enough for the Argentine to score a goal or more.<\/p>\n

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang<\/a> is undoubtedly the best pick from the Gunners. He is the one they look up to to provide the goals. It will be tough for him against Manchester City but at Brighton, he should be able to flourish.<\/p>\n

Jamie Vardy<\/a> should be considered strongly considering the favourable fixture list for Leicester. For the long-term Marcus Rashford<\/a>, Ra\u00fal Jim\u00e9nez <\/a>and Diogo Jota<\/a> could be good picks to have as well.<\/p>\n
