Football Starting to Return From Suspension<\/h3>\n

Football is starting to return from suspension this month, with the Premier League<\/a> set to resume next week.<\/p>\n

Germany\u2019s Bundesliga<\/a>\u00a0came back last month, and its resumption has so far gone well. They have implemented multiple safety measures like playing behind closed doors and substitutes sitting six feet apart.<\/p>\n

This has prompted the other three major European Leagues not already cancelled to do similarly, with the hope that they can emulate the success of Germany\u2019s top flight.<\/p>\n

La Liga<\/a> will return later today, with a match between Sevilla and Real Betis.<\/p>\n

Serie A<\/a> is also be returning in the near future, with a June 20 start date currently scheduled.<\/p>\n

And the Premier League is back on our screens on June 17, with two matches including Manchester City<\/a> against Arsenal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tottenham will play Manchester United on Friday June 19, but without Dele Alli as he serves his one-match suspension.<\/p>\n

Alli Set to Miss United Game With One Match Ban<\/h3>\n

Dele Alli\u2019s distasteful joke made about the Coronavirus has earned him a one match suspension and a \u00a350,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old posted a video on snapchat in February making fun of the deadly virus, and proceeded to single out an Asian man. He quickly deleted the video and posted an apology on Chinese platform Weibo.<\/p>\n

Ali\u2019s discipline follows precedent set when Manchester City\u2019s Bernardo Silva<\/a> made a racist comment on social media<\/a> regarding teammate Benjamin Mendy<\/a>. The Spaniard was also hit with<\/a> a \u00a350,000 fine and a one match suspension.<\/p>\n

United will now play a Spurs side lacking one of their key players next Friday. The Red Devils were in good form before the Coronavirus caused the suspension of football, but with star man Harry Kane<\/a> among the many now back from injury, Tottenham Hotspur will also be hopeful of some good results when the Premier League returns.<\/p>\n
