As far as Tottenham’s striking issues are concerned, there is always one overriding question. How do you solve the problem that Harry Kane<\/a> presents? Of course, the issue is not from the England international himself, more the personnel around him. One solution to this problem could be to sign Odsonne Edouard.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest criticisms of Tottenham over the past few years is that they are held back by having one senior out and out forward.<\/a> Although the supporting cast play their parts incredibly well, it is a lack of genuine firepower that stops the club from reaching their potential.<\/p>\n

With Tottenham finishing runners-up in the Champions League last season and the same accolade in the Premier League three years ago, there is a sense that the North London outfit have been labelled as \u2018nearly men.’<\/p>\n

It\u2019s almost an impossible statement to now answer, but if they had an additional option to call upon and lighten the load that the talismanic Kane has had to carry on so many occasions, maybe those silver medals would have been turned into gold.<\/p>\n

Could Odsonne Eduoard Solve Tottenham\u2019s Striker Issues?<\/h2>\n

History Cannot Be Altered<\/h3>\n

Of course, history cannot be altered, and the record books will never be changed. However, Tottenham can at least not make the same mistake this time around; one man could solve their striking issues.<\/p>\n

That man is Glasgow Celtic\u2019s Odsonne Edouard<\/a>, who, according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a> of the Guardian is on Spurs\u2019 radar. He would be a good signing for the club and especially after an impressive season in front of goal.<\/p>\n

In the curtailed 2019\/20 SPFL campaign, the 22-year-old has scored a league goal for every year of his birth; although detractors will say \u201cit\u2019s only Scottish football\u201d, it almost provides a perfect platform for a Tottenham transition.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because although there is a gap in perceived quality between the top tiers of the English and Scottish game, the style of play and characteristics of the game are much closer; a player would take less time in order to bed into new surroundings.<\/p>\n

Foreign Failures<\/h3>\n

The mistake that Tottenham have made in the past, is bringing a forward who has been highly touted on the continent and scored a hatful of goals in the process, to only then fail to make the step up to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Just mention the likes of Roberto Soldado or Vincent Janssen, and it will bring Spurs fans into a cold sweat. But with Eduoard possessing the experience of performing before a vociferous Celtic Park, the hustle of the English top-flight will not be one that fazes him.<\/p>\n

If Tottenham are to land such a precocious talent, it would be perfect for Harry Kane. Moreover, it would offer manager Jose Mourinho the perfect opportunity to rest and rotate up top when required.<\/p>\n

With that said, the services of the former PSG youth star will certainly not come cheap and with several other European clubs also interested in Edouard \u2013 including nearest rivals Arsenal, the white half of this North London rivalry may have to act fast to get a deal done.<\/p>\n
