Chelsea<\/a> owner Roman Abramovich is all set to inject cash into the club’s transfer budget. He is prepared to back Chelsea manager Frank Lampard. The Blues are hoping to sign two key players in the next transfer window in order to challenge for all the competitions, especially the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Athletic<\/a> have reported that Abramovich is enthusiastic about adding some big names to Frank Lampard’s<\/a> squad. His only condition remains whether the deal is appropriate and in sync with the club’s long term plans.<\/p>\n

There have been talks about Chelsea’s transfer incapacities lately. This comes in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide. But accumulated funds due to the club’s transfer ban might just give them an edge in the upcoming transfer window.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Board Ready to Back Frank Lampard With ‘Two Marquee Signings’ This Summer<\/h2>\n

Ben Chilwell Is a Priority<\/h3>\n

After signing Hakim Ziyech<\/a> from Ajax<\/a> this February, Chelsea are still looking at two specific positions to fill. Head-coach Lampard believes he still needs a full-back and a striker to contend for the Premier League.<\/p>\n

There have been reports about Ben Chilwell<\/a> being targeted by the Blues for quite some time now. It seems that the English left-back is the club’s topmost priority.<\/p>\n

Chelsea still have Marcos Alonso<\/a> and Emerson Palmieri<\/a> in that spot. But this season’s poor performances have really put the Spaniard and Italian’s first-team role in jeopardy. Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta<\/a> who can play in that position too has shown a dip in his form.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Eyeing Three Bundesliga Starlets<\/h3>\n

Apart from Chilwell, the Londoners are eyeing four attacking players specifically as per The Athletic’s report.<\/p>\n

Bayer Leverkusen’s<\/a> Kai Havertz<\/a>, Borussia Dortmund’s<\/a> Jadon Sancho<\/a>, Lyon’s<\/a> Moussa Dembele<\/a> and RB Leipzig’s<\/a> Timo Werner<\/a> are on the wishlist. The club is actively monitoring the situation of these four players.<\/p>\n

While Liverpool<\/a> are leading the race for Timo Werner<\/a>, Chelsea<\/a> might be in the pole position for Moussa Dembele. The French striker could become second fiddle to Tammy Abraham<\/a> or might even steal his first-team spot. Chelsea haven’t had such an explosive striker since Diego Costa.<\/p>\n

Abramovich’s intentions would have surely given all the Chelsea supporters a huge boost as the Russian Billionaire has got an arsenal of funds which could materially change the transfer situation in England.<\/p>\n
