Willy Caballero and Olivier Giroud have put pen to paper on new deals that will see the players remain at the club until the end of the 2020\/21 season.<\/p>\n
Olivier Giroud<\/a> commented on<\/a> him putting pen to paper on the new deal:<\/p>\n \u2018I am delighted to continue my journey and adventure at Chelsea<\/a>. I can\u2019t wait to get back to playing and enjoying competitive football with my team-mates. I\u2019m looking forward to wearing the Chelsea shirt again, especially in front of our fans at a full Stamford Bridge, whenever it is safe to do so.\u2019<\/p>\n Prior to the pause in the season due to the pandemic, Giroud had again emphasised his importance to the squad by taking on the responsibility of leading the attack with Tammy Abraham<\/a> injured, and making a significant contribution.<\/p>\n He also found the net in a win against Tottenham<\/a> in February and helped Chelsea knock Liverpool<\/a> out the FA Cup<\/a> the following month.<\/p>\n Willy Caballero <\/a>seemed delighted to have signed a new deal when he spoke to Chelsea FC:<\/p>\n \u2018I am very happy to make this announcement. It is a privilege to be part of this Chelsea squad and the Chelsea family, at one of the most historic clubs in the Premier League.<\/p>\n \u2018It is a difficult time for everyone right now so I feel blessed by this opportunity and truly appreciate it.
