Manchester United<\/a> face a challenging dilemma when deciding whether to leave Dean Henderson<\/a> on loan at Sheffield United<\/a> for the rest of the season or not, and one which could cost them \u00a360 million, as reported by\u00a0Martin Lipton of The Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n

How Dean Henderson Could Cost Manchester United \u00a360 Million<\/h2>\n

Instrumental for Sheffield United<\/h3>\n

Henderson has been an instrumental part of Sheffield United\u2019s side this season, one which has outperformed any expectations.<\/p>\n

Sitting in seventh place, the Blades have a game in hand on all but one of the teams above which, if won, would see them leapfrog Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> and Manchester United up to fifth and just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For a newly promoted side, this is a truly incredible feat, and one in which Henderson played an immeasurable part. His ever-increasing goalkeeping prowess has been vital to the team, keeping ten clean sheets in the Premier League<\/a> and putting him second only to Burnley<\/a>\u2019s Nick Pope<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United have a serious chance at Champions League<\/a> qualification, and that is where the worry sets in for Manchester United as they are also bidding to gain access to the competition.<\/p>\n

How Dean Henderson Could Cost Manchester United \u00a360 Million<\/h3>\n

Manchester United have a serious decision to make as to whether they agree to extend Henderson\u2019s stay in South Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

If they choose to bring him back to the Theatre of dreams, it would greatly hinder his current club\u2019s chances at qualification to the most prestigious club competition in Europe. However, it could also damage Henderson\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

Should they agree, Sheffield United would pose a major threat to their hopes of top four. Their promising English goalkeeper would also be able to see out the remainder of his fantastically successful campaign with the Blades, allowing for his exponential growth to continue.<\/p>\n

Missing out on Champions League football next season would be a massive blow to the Red Devils. They would miss out on the monetary gains in excess of \u00a360 million, not to mention the attraction to players. Without qualifying to the competition, Manchester United\u2019s rebuild may see itself set back by some margin.<\/p>\n
