Timo Werner<\/a> has been linked with a move to Liverpool<\/a> for what seems like an eternity now. And with the growing financial concerns of the Coronavirus pandemic, the German striker’s representatives have once again been told to wait by Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian<\/a>, as they decide whether to make a formal offer for the RB Leipzig<\/a> man. The transfer could go either way at this point, with Werner simply waiting for an offer that may never come from Liverpool amid the Coronavirus crisis. At this point, the German may be forced to access his options in the face of uncertainty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool Still Deciding Whether to Put Offer in for Timo Werner<\/h2>\n

A Transfer Liverpool Must Complete\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Despite the ongoing financial implications of the Coronavirus, the transfer of Timo Werner is a must for Liverpool as they look to finally secure a long-term target. And, with a reported fee as low as \u00a350 million, the Reds would be getting a bargain price for a world-class forward, a deal that may not come along again. The Premier League<\/a> leaders will need to act quickly to secure the German’s signature, with Chelsea<\/a> and Bayern Munich<\/a> also reportedly interested in the 23-year-old.<\/span><\/p>\n

Werner, however, has stated his desire for a new challenge in a different league, therefore ruling out a move to Bayern. The German told Sport Bild<\/a>: ” A challenge in a foreign league would appeal to me rather than a move to Bayer”. The statement leaves Chelsea and Liverpool very much in the running for the forward’s signature in the summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool, in particular, could do with the services of Werner next season with both Sadio Mane<\/a> and Mohamed Salah<\/a> off to the Africa Cup of Nations mid-way through next season, making depth in the forward line a must.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Deal That Klopp Wants\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

According to Christian Falk<\/a>, the feelings are mutual between Jurgen Klopp and Werner, with Klopp reportedly making Werner a priority in the summer and the striker keen to work under the former Borussia Dortmund manager. This makes the deal a likely one in the summer, with Werner seemingly ready to go as soon as an offer is made.<\/span><\/p>\n
