Harry Kane<\/a> continues to attract plenty of interest from across Europe and the Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> captain could leave north London this summer.<\/p>\n

The England captain’s performances for the past five years at Spurs prove his capability of playing at the top-level.<\/p>\n

It seems that now is the time for the Spurs talisman to depart Spurs in search of a new challenge for a number of reasons.<\/p>\n

Why Harry Kane Should Leave Tottenham Hotspur This Summer<\/h2>\n

An Extensive List of Clubs to Choose From<\/h3>\n

Many clubs remain interested in Kane this summer. Although, it appears that Manchester United<\/a> are currently leading the race to sign the 26-year-old striker.<\/p>\n

United are, as reported by the Daily Mail<\/a>, willing to match Daniel Levy’s \u00a3200 million asking price to sign Kane. They may also offer up to \u00a3350,000 a year in wages, according to Metro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, top clubs still maintain their own interest in the accomplished finisher. Real Madrid wants Kane as a replacement for Luka Jovic<\/a>, who endured a disappointing first season for Los Blancos<\/em> (The Sun<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n

Earlier in March, Italian giants Juventus looked interested in signing Kane (The Sun<\/a>). Meanwhile, Manchester City<\/a> also wanted to compete for Kane’s signature (Manchester Evening News<\/a>).<\/p>\n

With just over four years left on his current contract, a high fee will be required to secure Kane’s transfer from Spurs. Only the handful of clubs in world football, with substantial finances, will be able to afford the 26-year-old.<\/p>\n

Help Tottenham With Finances<\/h3>\n

Due to the financial impact of coronavirus, Daniel Levy may sell Kane in an attempt to soften the economic blow to the club (Daily Mail<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Spurs continue to pay off their new stadium, which cost around \u00a31 billion, while the club also owes \u00a383 million in transfer fees (Daily Mail<\/a>).<\/p>\n

If any clubs were to match Levy’s \u00a3200 million valuation of Kane, then the sale would offset a number of debts the club owes.<\/p>\n

Alternative reports suggest that the club will not sell Kane this summer (Sky Sports<\/a>). But it is difficult to see how Spurs will continue to operate without some major financial input in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Time for a New Challenge<\/h3>\n

Harry Kane’s goal-scoring record is outstanding, but he is yet to win a major trophy.<\/p>\n

Since making his breakthrough season in 2012, Kane scored 181 goals for Spurs in all competitions.<\/p>\n

He won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup and was top-scorer in the Premier League for consecutive seasons between 2015-2017.<\/p>\n

It seems like Kane is willing to leave Spurs this summer. In March he made his future intentions clear when speaking about Spurs.<\/p>\n

He said<\/a>: “I’ve always said, if I don’t feel we’re going in the right direction then I’m not someone who will just stay for the sake of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m an ambitious player, I want to become one of the best players.” (Harry Kane, via The Sun<\/a>).
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The odds are stacked against Spurs keeping Kane this summer. Financial issues, poor league form under Jose Mourinho and Kane’s own ambition to leave signal that he wants a move this summer.<\/p>\n
