If Real Madrid<\/a> sign Manchester United<\/a> star Paul Pogba<\/a> in the summer, it could hinder their Kylian Mbappe<\/a> plans, according to Dominic Booth and Richard Fay of the Manchester Evening News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Interest in Paul Pogba<\/h3>\n

Real Madrid have been interested<\/a> in Paul Pogba for a number of years.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman re-joined United in 2016 for a then world-record fee of \u00a389 million, having left them four years prior for Italian giants Juventus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While in Turin, he blossomed into a fantastic footballer, scoring many goals per season while also being a commanding influence in the midfield. This attracted interest<\/a> from multiple elite teams around Europe, with United and Madrid the two biggest competitors for his signature.<\/p>\n

His former side ended up beating Los Blancos, and he joined with high expectations of him.<\/p>\n

However, he failed to deliver.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman\u2019s time at United has been very inconsistent, with injury taking him out for a considerable amount of time. Despite this, both Juventus<\/a> and Real Madrid are considering transfers for him, with United holding out for \u00a3100 million.<\/p>\n

Zinedine Zidane<\/a> is a huge admirer of Pogba and wants to see him playing in the Spanish capital. Juventus would also like to see his return, and both clubs are determined to get deals through.<\/p>\n

Coronavirus Causing Financial Uncertainty<\/h3>\n

Despite the clubs\u2019 sizes, both Juve and Real are experiencing financial uncertainty due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The European powerhouses both find themselves in some of the worst-hit countries in the world, and they may need to reduce their spending in the next few transfer windows.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid are looking into a potential move for Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> star Kylian Mbappe next summer, but should they make a big-money move for Pogba, they will struggle to find the funds for this.<\/p>\n
