Troy Deeney<\/a> has urged Manchester United<\/a> to make a shock move for Liverpool<\/a>\u2019s Adam Lallana<\/a>, according to Football 365<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Urged to Make Shock Move for Liverpool\u2019s Adam Lallana<\/h2>\n

Situation at Liverpool<\/h3>\n

Adam Lallana is not in a great place at Liverpool. One of the many players to make this move, Lallana moved from Southampton<\/a> to Liverpool in 2014 having impressed in their early Premier League<\/a> seasons.<\/p>\n

In his last season with the Saints, Lallana scored nine goals, while assisting eight, earning himself a move to one of England\u2019s top teams.<\/p>\n

Upon moving to Anfield, Lallana continued to be impressive for a number of seasons, even continuing his good form into the 2016\/17 season. However, that came to an abrupt hold following the end of the aforementioned campaign.<\/p>\n

Since the end of 2016\/17, Lallana has managed to score just one goal from 54 appearances. The 31-year-old\u2019s only strike came against United this season, denying them the opportunity to stop Liverpool\u2019s unbeaten run.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he has fallen down the pecking order recently, with some top quality additions made by Jurgen Klopp. Fabinho<\/a> and Naby Keita<\/a> are among those to have punished Lallana away from the starting XI, with the Englishman having made just three starts in the league this term.<\/p>\n

Thus, Liverpool have not been particularly keen to renew his contract, and he is likely to become a free agent at the end of the season, with FIFA having extended all contracts set to expire until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

United could grab Lallana on a free transfer, and that is exactly what Deeney thinks they should do.<\/p>\n

Deeney\u2019s Advice<\/h3>\n

Lazio and Leicester City are among the sides linked with the 31-year-old, and Deeney suggests that United may like to join this race. Speaking to the United Standard, the Watford frontman said: \u201cI was just chatting about this with my mates in our group chat \u2013 Lallana walks into 90% of teams.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe could play for Man City but I think they\u2019re overpopulated. You would take him at\u00a0United. He\u2019d be in the squad and 100% he improves the squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cLallana can play anywhere across the front line. Tottenham would take him, Everton, Chelsea.\u201d<\/p>\n

United are rebuilding, with a focus on youth, but Lallana would be a cheap way for them to add some valuable experience to their squad.<\/p>\n
