Norwich City<\/a> are keen to sign former Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The former Whites ‘keeper could make a return to England with a trio of clubs reportedly circling.<\/p>\n

Silvestri is a target for Daniel Farke’s Norwich while Southampton<\/a> and Everton have also been credited with an interest.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old spent three years at Elland Road between 2014 and 2017 after completing a \u20ac1 million move.<\/p>\n

He returned returning to his native country of Italy with Hellas Verona.<\/p>\n

With an early career featuring Modena, Padova and Cagliari, Silvestri made his Championship debut against Millwall.<\/p>\n

He was the first-choice ‘keeper at Elland Road during his first two campaigns with the Whites.<\/p>\n

But he dropped down the pecking order when Rob Green entered the squad under Garry Monk.<\/p>\n

He struggled for opportunities in the 2016-17 season, making just six appearances.<\/p>\n

The ex-Italy Under-21 international revitalised his career in his native country.<\/p>\n

Having established himself as Verona’s number one, he played a key part in their promotion back to Serie A last year.<\/p>\n

He has since impressed in the top flight and could be open to a return move back to England.<\/p>\n

The Italian side are 8th in Serie A with Silvestri a mainstay as they challenge for a European spot.<\/p>\n

According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb<\/a>, Everton, Southampton and Norwich City are tracking the ‘keeper.<\/p>\n

The trio are all within the bottom half of the Premier League standings.<\/p>\n

Norwich City seem destined for an immediate return to the Championship.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke’s side are six points adrift of safety with ten games remaining once football resumes.<\/p>\n

The Canaries had previously had competition between the sticks with Ralf Fahrmann and Tim Krul battling to be No 1.<\/p>\n

But that has diminished since the former had his loan spell at Carrow Road cut short.<\/p>\n

Southampton and Everton, meanwhile, have struggled in defence, conceding 52 and 48 goals respectively in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
