Manchester United<\/a> are looking for a striker in the summer transfer window, and Harry Kane<\/a> was high on their wishlist. However, with Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> pricing him at \u00a3200 million<\/a>, that transfer now looks highly unlikely. There are alternatives to the England striker, and here are five of them.<\/p>\n

Five Alternatives to Harry Kane for Manchester United<\/h2>\n

Timo Werner<\/a><\/h3>\n

One striker in prolific goal-scoring form, Timo Werner would make for a fantastic signing up front, and the Red Devils could buy him, according to Jack Otway of the Daily Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The German has netted 21 times in 25 Bundesliga<\/a> appearances this campaign, making him second-top scorer in the competition, and has four from eight in the Champions League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he is very quick and would fit well with United\u2019s fast-paced counter-attacking style of play.<\/p>\n

Although it looks like<\/a> Liverpool<\/a> have already won the race for his signature, that may not be the case, with the Reds putting business on hold<\/a> due to the Coronavirus. United could swoop in and snap him up.<\/p>\n

He would probably be the best of the five alternatives to Harry Kane, but there are others who are top-quality as well.<\/p>\n

Moussa Demb\u00e9l\u00e9<\/a><\/h3>\n

Moussa Dembele would make for another great alternative to Harry Kane. According to Daniel Cutts of the Sun<\/a>, the Red Devils are interested in signing him.<\/p>\n

He has experience in England, having played, and impressed, for Fulham<\/a>. Dembele then moved to Celtic, and after that, Olympique Lyonnais.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman has shone in Lyon since joining, with 22 goals in all competitions this season.<\/p>\n

Chelsea<\/a> seem to be in the driving seat<\/a> for Dembele, but United still have a chance to get their man.<\/p>\n

Ra\u00fal Jim\u00e9nez<\/a><\/h3>\n

With the most Premier League<\/a> experience on this list, Raul Jimenez would be an exceptional signing for the Red Devils, and a great alternative to Harry Kane. They would like to sign him too, according to Daniel Murphy of the Manchester Evening News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> striker has a contract until 2023 and seems to be happy there, so signing him may be difficult. But not impossible.<\/p>\n

The Mexican international has 13 goals and six assists in the league this season, and has shown his class and quality in a greatly overachieving Wolves side.<\/p>\n

United would be a very tempting offer, given their promising future, but Wolves are also doing well, and it will be a challenge to prize him away from them.<\/p>\n

Odion Ighalo<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Nigerian is on loan at Manchester United, but they may look to make his deal permanent, according to Simon Jones and Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ighalo became the first from his nation to play for the Manchester side, and it was a dream come true having supported them all his life.<\/p>\n

He has done much better than expected at United. A seemingly rushed deadline day move was laughable at the time, but has since turned out very well, with him scoring four goals and assisting once in 318 minutes of game-time.<\/p>\n

Although Ighalo may not be of starting quality, the 30-year-old is still a good player, and one who could be very useful to Manchester United in the future.<\/p>\n

Erling Braut <\/a>H\u00e5land<\/h3>\n

This would be some transfer.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils missed out on the signing of Erling Haaland in January, but they will go for him again in the summer, according to Luke Gardener of the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He moved to Borussia Dortmund recently, but the higher quality league has not slowed his form. The Norwegian has nine goals from eight appearances, only five of which have been starts, in the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n

Haaland would become the future of Manchester United if he joined, and would link up with fellow countryman Solskjaer.<\/p>\n
