Manchester United<\/a>‘s Diogo Dalot<\/a> is considering a shock move to Manchester United\u2019s Premier League<\/a> rivals Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>, according to Dominic Booth of the Manchester Evening News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Time Since Joining United<\/h3>\n

Dalot joined the Red Devils from boyhood team, FC Porto, in 2018. Jose Mourinho was keen on his fellow Portuguese footballer, and the then 19-year-old showed a lot of promise.<\/p>\n

Since the move, he has impressed both as a right-back, and further forward as a right midfielder, and clearly has a lot of talent.<\/p>\n

However, despite his ability and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a>\u2019s trust in youth, Dalot has not had much game time this season.<\/p>\n

New signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka<\/a> has come in as first-choice right-back, and the Portuguese\u2019s position in the team has fallen significantly.<\/p>\n

Although he has featured more prominently in cup competitions, Dalot has started just one game in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Uncertain Future<\/h3>\n

A loan move could do Dalot a lot of good.<\/p>\n

While this could make or break his career, the 21-year-old is very talented and would get lots of games wherever he went. The former Porto wingback may get more of a chance at United next season, but a loan move could boost him into the picture there upon his return.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Dalot is considering a move to Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n

He is seemingly keen to link up with fellow countryman Jose Mourinho again, after the experienced manager was sacked from United in December 2018. One year later, he took the helm at Tottenham, following the London side\u2019s sacking of long time manager Mauricio Pochettino<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Spurs have had many struggles in defence recently, and are also interested<\/a> in United centre-back Chris Smalling<\/a>, who has looked much improved since going out on loan with Roma.<\/p>\n

Should Dalot leave United, it would be the first time that Solskjaer has sold a player he did not want to, and may come back to bite them.<\/p>\n
