The Englishman has an impressive record of 181 goals in 278 appearances and, at the age of 26, he still has years left in his prime. Having broken out as a first-team regular in 2014, Kane has managed to score 30 goals in the 2017/18 Premier League campaign, while also bagging 29, 25 and 21 respectively in others.

Rated by Transfermarkt as the fourth most valuable player in the world, it is fair to say that Kane deserves this. His stats are magnificent, and his presence is greatly missed by Spurs during his spells on the sidelines due to injury. He is an instrumental part of the Tottenham team, but might not have the same effect on a club like United.

Not Fitting With United’s Style of Play

Harry Kane’s game does not fit with the Manchester United style of play.

Kane is not a particularly fast striker but shows his strength in finishing and aerial presence. He is a physical striker, but one who can also shoot superbly well, with both long shots and close-range efforts fantastic attributes of his.

Despite the 26-year-old’s unchallenged quality and United’s lack of a clinical striker, he may not be the best use of their money.

The Red Devils already want Jadon Sancho in the summer, and with that likely to cost roughly £120 million, buying an expensive striker would not be easy. Furthermore, the Red Devils play fast, counter-attacking football, and Kane would not be able to keep up as well as current centre-forward Anthony Martial, or fellow target Erling Braut Håland.

Tottenham’s belief Regarding Harry Kane

Spurs think that they will be able to keep Kane in the summer. With his contract good until 2024 and the London side unwilling to let him go, it would take some bid to entice them into parting ways, and with the Coronavirus having ripped football apart financially, it is highly unlikely that any club will be able to put together a bid of the calibre that Tottenham requires.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Tottenham Hotspur sources have dismissed the chance of Manchester United signing Harry Kane, according to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News.
