Arsenal<\/a> have shown interest in signing Ivorian brothers Hamed<\/a> and Amad Traore,<\/a> according to reports from 90min.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

Arsenal Showing Interest in Hamed Traore<\/h2>\n

Difficult Transfer Scenario<\/h3>\n

The older of the two brothers, Hamed, who is currently 20-years old, has impressed in an attacking midfield role this season, making 20 appearances in Serie A<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tricky Ivorian is currently in the middle of a two-year loan deal at Sassuolo<\/a>, from fellow Italian outfit Empoli.<\/p>\n

However, it could prove difficult for the Gunners to strike a deal for the midfielder.<\/p>\n

Not only do Sassuolo have an option to buy him at the end of the two-year loan spell, but Juventus<\/a> also have first refusal on him, which will no doubt increase the value of the play-maker.<\/p>\n

Despite this, scouts at The Emirates are said to be impressed with his performances throughout the campaign, and believe a fee of around \u00a320 million could be enough to prise the 20-year-old away from Italy.<\/p>\n

Interest in Younger Brother<\/h3>\n

Younger sibling Amad Traore has also been on the radar of Arsenal as well this season, due to his breakout appearances for Champions League<\/a> quarter-finalists Atalanta<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old had made three appearances in the Italian top-flight before the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and even got on the scoresheet in a 7-1 mauling over Udinese.<\/p>\n

Even though Arsenal have expressed their interest in the winger, Atalanta have stated their willingness to hold on to their up and coming prospect, and if any move was to materialise, the Nerazzurri <\/em>will no doubt demand a hefty fee from the London club.<\/p>\n

Past History With Ivorian siblings<\/h3>\n

If Arsenal were to make a move for the brothers, it wouldn’t be the first time the Premier League<\/a> side have targeted two Ivorian family members.<\/p>\n

Back in 2005, Arsene Wenger famously signed Kolo Toure<\/a> after a turbulent trial at the club.<\/p>\n

The centre-back went on to make over 200 appearances for the club, winning the FA Cup twice as well as lifting the Premier League trophy during his seven-year stint in North London.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Gunners also looked at Kolo’s younger brother Yaya, before deciding to turn the midfielder down.<\/p>\n

That, of course, would come back to haunt Arsene Wenger, as Yaya Toure<\/a> went on to have a top career, winning five league titles in both England and Spain combined.<\/p>\n
