Manchester United<\/a> have been handed a huge boost in their bid to keep Paul Pogba<\/a>, according to Jack Otway of the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Paul Pogba\u2019s Career at Manchester United so far<\/h3>\n

Pogba\u2019s time at United has been very inconsistent. He came through the academy before joining Serie A<\/a> giants Juventus<\/a> when his contract ran out in 2012. His incredible rise to one of the best midfielders in the world in Turin attracted the interest<\/a> of many of Europe\u2019s elite clubs, and United were among them.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils pounced on Pogba, sealing a deal for him which cost a then world-record \u00a389 million. He has not had the impact they would have hoped for, though.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman came in and immediately showed his class, but he showed something else too; inconsistency. United\u2019s club-record signing has struggled with injuries since his arrival and also failed to put together a run of form like he had in Italy, until last season.<\/p>\n

Although he underperformed during Jose Mourinho’s last few months, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a>\u2019s appointment rejuvenated him. The 27-year-old scored thirteen goals and assisted nine during 2018\/19, and looked to be starting to consistently show the quality he had in him.<\/p>\n

This season, however, he has dealt with a recurring ankle injury and has managed just eight appearances in all competitions.<\/p>\n

Bruno Fernandes<\/a> and a promising United side have made the Red Devils much more attractive for Pogba, but he still wants to leave. This, however, will not be easy in the summer.<\/p>\n

Interested Teams Without Necessary Funds<\/h3>\n

Real Madrid<\/a> and Juventus, both of whom would like to have Pogba playing for them next season, have been hit hard by the Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

Spain has suffered tremendously with this, and as Real have offered their stadium<\/a> to help deal with the pandemic, this is extremely bad for their financial situation.<\/p>\n

It is a similar story for Juve, with Italy the worst-hit country in terms of deaths. It will hurt them even more than Los Blancos<\/em>, and make it incredibly difficult to fund a \u00a3100 million transfer in the summer.<\/p>\n
