Liverpool<\/a> have prioritised Manchester United<\/a>, Real Madrid<\/a>, and Barcelona<\/a> target Fabian Ruiz<\/a>, with Bayern Munich<\/a> also interested, according to Neil Fissler of the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Attracting Interest<\/h3>\n

23-year-old Ruiz has become a sought after talent this season. His market value has soared since joining Napoli in 2018, having established himself as a commanding influence in the Italian outfit\u2019s midfield. The Spaniard\u2019s passing ability has shown a clear natural talent for the game; this has attracted interest from Europe\u2019s elite clubs, among these, Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Liverpool Have Prioritised the Manchester United Target While Eyeing Many Midfielders<\/h3>\n

Liverpool are looking into many midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window.\u00a0With an aging midfield, the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum<\/a> and Jordan Henderson<\/a> soon to pass their primes, the Reds want to refresh it.<\/p>\n

One of their targets is Boubakary Soumare.\u00a0 <\/a>However, as negotiations for the Frenchman have been ongoing for some time<\/a>, and with Barcelona also looking to snap him up, Liverpool may need to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Ruiz is a more attacking midfielder than Soumare, but has incredible versatility. The 23-year-old has shown that this season alone. Across all competitions, Napoli\u2019s hot prospect has played left and right midfield; he has also operated in a defensive, central and attacking role down the centre.<\/p>\n

Although he could be an alternative to Soumare, he could just as easily play alongside him in Liverpool\u2019s midfield trio. Should the reds acquire both of these in-demand talents, they could create a formidable midfield. This could last for the best part of the next decade; they would provide Liverpool with title-challenging quality to continue what they have started this campaign.<\/p>\n

Other Clubs Monitoring Him<\/h3>\n

Liverpool are not alone in their admiration for Ruiz, and could just as easily miss out on both midfield targets as get them. Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Real Madrid are all eyeing the midfielder as well. United are undertaking a rebuild, focused on youth, while Barcelona are looking to replace midfielders with uncertain futures. However, with Liverpool having prioritised the Spaniard, and other clubs having targets higher up on their wishlist, the Reds could pip their rivals to Ruiz\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n
