Manchester United<\/a> have been chasing Birmingham City star Jude Bellingham<\/a> for some time, however now it looks as if they may not sign him<\/a>. While this will disappoint many, it allows for more necessary investment, and Manchester United need Eduardo Camavinga<\/a> more than Bellingham.<\/p>\n

Why Manchester United Need Eduardo Camavinga More Than Jude Bellingham<\/h2>\n

Who is Camavinga?<\/h3>\n

Like Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga is a teenager getting consistent game time in a top league. The Frenchman has been one of Rennes\u2019 best players this season; Camavinga has been impressing with his vision and pinpoint passing, as well as great dribbling and tackling. The 17-year-old has attracted interest from many of Europe\u2019s top clubs. United have made themselves known as one of the frontrunners for his signature, but why do they need him?<\/p>\n

Why Manchester United Need Eduardo Camavinga<\/h3>\n

As United have maintained their interest despite Rennes having put<\/a> a \u00a351m price tag on Camavinga, it is clear that they are in this race for the long haul.<\/p>\n

Long Term Paul Pogba Replacement<\/h4>\n

With Paul Pogba<\/a>\u2019s situation at Manchester United currently up in the air, the Red Devils need to look into a replacement.<\/p>\n

Camavinga has shown that he is capable of playing in one of Europe\u2019s top five leagues. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a>\u2019s willingness to allow young players a chance in the first team, he would likely get many opportunities to prove himself.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Camavinga may need time to settle. But, having demonstrated so much talent at such a young age, the Frenchman will surely develop into one of the world\u2019s best midfielders. During this period, it is clear that United have managed without Pogba this season, with Fred<\/a>, Scott McTominay<\/a> and Nemanja Matic<\/a> all displaying enough quality to be first choice for United allowing Camavinga time to adjust himself to his new surroundings.<\/p>\n

Youth-Focussed Rebuild<\/h4>\n

Manchester United are currently undergoing a youth-centric rebuild. The acquisition of Daniel James<\/a> and Aaron Wan-Bissaka<\/a>, while also giving chances to the likes of Brandon Williams<\/a> and Mason Greenwood<\/a> prove this.<\/p>\n

Camavinga would be another youthful addition to this team. While he could do the job straight away, the Rennes midfielder would also be a star of the future at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, with James Garner<\/a>, who looks to have a very healthy future ahead of him, also capable of playing as a central midfielder, United have no defensive players for the middle of the park. Camavinga would be the perfect addition to an already talent-full, youthful Manchester United squad.<\/p>\n
