Manchester United<\/a> are an option for wantaway Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> star Raul Jimenez<\/a>, but his club would only let him go if a large offer came their way, according to Manchester Evening News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Manchester United an Option for Wantaway Wolves Star Raul Jimenez<\/h2>\n

Previous Transfer Success for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/a><\/h3>\n

The signing of Jimenez would add to Solskjaer\u2019s list of so far successful transfers at United. In the summer, the Red Devils brought in Aaron Wan-Bissaka<\/a>, Daniel James<\/a> and Harry Maguire<\/a>. All three of these have turned out very well for the Norwegian.<\/p>\n

Wan-Bissaka\u2019s defending is impeccable, and he is working on his already good attacking game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

James, while having been more successful in his opening few matches for United, is still playing very well, providing them with energy, pace and quality going forwards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maguire has played very consistently this season, and more recently he has developed into a brilliant central defender.<\/p>\n

In January, Solskjaer brought in two more players. Bruno Fernandes<\/a> came from Sporting Lisbon and has been exceptional for the Manchester side. Since his debut, they have not lost a game, and he has provided them with the creativity they so desperately needed. Furthermore, since his arrival, many of United\u2019s players seem to have improved a great deal, with Fernandes\u2019 positive influence clearly not just on the pitch.<\/p>\n

In addition, he brought in Odion Ighalo<\/a> on loan, and while at the time the move seemed almost ridiculous, the Nigerian has proven that he is capable of playing<\/a> in a Manchester United shirt.<\/p>\n

Need For a Striker<\/h3>\n

Manchester United may need to sign a striker in the summer. While Ighalo\u2019s loan could become permanent,\u00a0<\/a>he has not yet shown that he can start regularly at the top level of the Premier League<\/a>. With that in mind, Anthony Martial<\/a> is the only other option with reasonable experience. Although he is a very good player, the Frenchman is not an out and out striker and does not have the poachers finish needed for the position. While he could work on this, signing a new striker may be United\u2019s best option.<\/p>\n

During the January transfer window, Manchester United were linked with many strikers<\/a>. Among these was\u00a0Edinson Cavani<\/a>, but with that transfer never having materialised, the Red Devils looked elsewhere. They have since had links to the likes of<\/a> Harry Kane<\/a>, and Jimenez. Both of these are quality strikers, however, it could come down to money in the end. While Wolves reportedly want a lot for the Mexican, Tottenham will also be looking for a hefty fee in return for their star striker, and with United also looking to sign players like Jadon Sancho<\/a> and Jack Grealish<\/a>, whose price tags would also not be small, Raul Jimenez may be the better option.<\/p>\n
