Roy Hodgson has signed a contract extension at Crystal Palace<\/a> to remain in charge of the Eagles until the end of the 2020\/2021 season. Hodgson\u2019s new deal highlights Palace\u2019s continued support for the man who grew up a boyhood Palace fan. The club will now finish the season looking to secure a top-half finish.<\/p>\n

Roy Hodgson Signs Contract Extension at Crystal Palace<\/h2>\n

Palace announced via their website<\/a> Roy Hodgson had signed a contract extension. Hodgson has been in charge since September 2017 and his new deal runs until the end of the 2020\/21 season.<\/p>\n

Since arriving at Palace, Hodgson has guided the Eagles to 12th<\/sup> and 11th<\/sup> place finishes with the club making progress each season. A top-half finish remains a realistic aim this season with the Eagles currently sat 12th, a point behind Arsenal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His new deal comes at a terrific time, with Palace in decent form having won their last two games to ease any worries of relegation. They host Watford<\/a> next and certainly, Hodgson will want to celebrate his new deal with a third straight league win.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Palace website about his new deal, Hodgson said<\/a>: \u201cI am delighted that the club and I have reached an agreement to extend my contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am proud of what we have achieved since I was appointed two-and-a-half years ago, and I look forward to us working together for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone knows how I feel about the club that I supported as a boy, I feel a special bond with the supporters and know that myself, the owners and the players are all working together to achieve the same goal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hodgson\u2019s New Deal Will Take Him Beyond 44 Years In Management<\/h3>\n

Crystal Palace is the latest in a long line of clubs Roy Hodgson has led and his new deal will take him beyond 44 years of management.<\/p>\n

His illustrious management career has seen him manage the likes of Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, Blackburn Rovers<\/a> and Inter Milan<\/a>. However, he is certainly in his dream job and Hodgson and Palace seem a perfect match.<\/p>\n
