After Watford<\/a>‘s shock thrashing of Premier League leaders Liverpool<\/a>, the Premier League has seen a shockwave of speculation about the relegation places.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, bottom team Norwich City<\/a> beat Leicester City<\/a> 1-0 late last week, which makes many fans wonder if these teams can escape the relegation zone. Also, who could go down instead of them?<\/p>\n

With that, here are some predictions regarding who could be relegated following Matchday 28, with ten games left to go. The teams’ placements will be predicted as well.<\/p>\n

Premier League Relegation Candidates (Post-Matchday 28)<\/h2>\n

Brighton & Hove Albion: 18th<\/h3>\n

Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace<\/a> on Saturday, leaving them 15th in the table. They are only one point ahead of the drop.<\/p>\n

The Seagulls have drawn three games in between two losses in their last five games. They haven’t won a match in the entirety of 2020 so far. Their last win came in a 2-0 defeat of Bournemouth<\/a> at the end of December.<\/p>\n

Their downward spiral might just see them return to the Championship come the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa: 19th<\/h3>\n

It all looked so bright for Aston Villa<\/a>. As things went on, it seemed that star man Jack Grealish<\/a> and his teammates could keep Villa in the league, perhaps even comfortably.<\/p>\n

Recently, however, things just haven’t been smooth sailing.<\/p>\n

They’ve gained four points from a possible 15 recently, and look more destined to disappointingly return to the English second-tier as the weeks go by. This will be a shame for many fans who predicted a comfortable mid-table finish at the start of the season.<\/p>\n

If they keep this poor form up, however, Grealish and co will be going down.<\/p>\n

Norwich City: 20th<\/h3>\n

Rock-bottom, but hopeful. Norwich, after beating Leicester, are now only a small string of wins away from safety. However, it won’t be easy whatsoever to make the escape.<\/p>\n

The Canaries’ next match is against Sheffield United<\/a>. The Blades are flying high in the league, only five points away from Chelsea<\/a> in fourth place. The rest of their matches until May are against teams currently lower in the table, such as the likes of Everton<\/a>, Southampton<\/a>, and Arsenal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even if they were to get a couple of wins under their belt, they might just still look destined for the drop.<\/p>\n
