Bristol City’s Nahki Wells has been named the stand-out performer for January.<\/p>\n
The forward’s performances have earned himself the Championship Player of the Month gong.<\/p>\n
A transfer move from QPR to Bristol limited Wells to just three January games.<\/p>\n
Despite that, he was by-far the top-performer in the second division last month.<\/p>\n
Wells scored five goals, including a hat-trick against Cardiff City, as well as contributing an assist.<\/p>\n
Bristol City manager Lee Johnson said: \u201cI\u2019m pleased for Nahki. He had a great first half of the season while he was at QPR and his performances last month merited this award. We hope he continues that good form in a Bristol City shirt.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wells said: \u201cIt\u2019s my first player of the month award in the Championship and I\u2019m very honoured.<\/p>\n
