Leicester City<\/a> expect James Maddison<\/a> to renew his contract<\/a> following interest<\/a> from elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Leicester City Expect James Maddison Contract Renewal<\/h2>\n

James Maddison: Current Deal<\/h3>\n

When Maddison signed for the Foxes<\/a> in the summer of 2018, they handed him a five-year deal. Maddison still has three years remaining on this, but Leicester will be hoping that a lucrative deal can persuade him to stay. The promising Englishman, who made his England debut in November 2019, and is likely to star for his country in the Euros, has been one of Leicester\u2019s best players this season, and a \u00a355,000-a-week deal seems fairly small for such an important player on a team looking likely to qualify for the Champions League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Interest in Maddison<\/h3>\n

James Maddison\u2019s quality performances of late have arisen interest<\/a> from some of England\u2019s top clubs. Manchester United<\/a> are among those monitoring his progress<\/a>, but clubs in Europe like Real Madrid<\/a> are also considering a move<\/a>. The 23-year-old has taken the most shots of all of the Foxes\u2019 players, as well as providing both goals and assists. His ability to pick out key passes is found lacking in many of the Premier League\u2019s teams. But, the possibility of his signing a new deal means that he is unlikely to leave Leicester any time soon, and with Leicester doing remarkably well this season, and looking to have a bright future, staying there may well provide the most long term success.<\/p>\n

Leicester\u2019s Success<\/h3>\n

Leicester City have performed tremendously this campaign, and they have young quality too. Caglar Soyuncu<\/a>, Ben Chilwell<\/a>, Wilfred Ndidi<\/a>, Youri Tielemans<\/a> and Kelechi Iheanacho<\/a> are all promising talents emerging in Leicester. Maddison is probably the most exciting of the lot, and with so much young talent around him, not to mention Jamie Vardy<\/a>\u2019s recent success, there are many reasons for him to stay in the midlands.<\/p>\n

Leicester City expect James Maddison to renew his contract there, and there are many reasons for him to do so. From a promising future to current success, Leicester have much to offer the young Englishman. While signing a new contract doesn\u2019t totally stop him from leaving, it makes it unlikely for him to leave, in the near future, at least.<\/p>\n
