Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi is aware of the threat Leeds United have as the Yorkshire side head to the City Ground on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The Whites head to Trent-side in a huge clash between two of the Championship’s promotion contenders.<\/p>\n
Hosts Nottingham Forest enter the fixture fourth in the Championship, four points behind the automatic promotion spots.<\/p>\n
Leeds United are second, just a point behind leaders West Brom, but could end the day level with third-place if they fail to beat Lamouchi’s men.<\/p>\n
But speaking ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s visit on Saturday, Lamouchi spoke of the importance in the fixture with Leeds United.<\/p>\n
“They have lost a lot of points in the last few games, ” he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n “But to say it is a good time to play them? I’m not sure because it is always tough, against all teams, but against Leeds even more because it is a big game for them and us.<\/p>\n “It is an important week for us, we start with Leeds, Charlton on Tuesday and West Brom next Saturday.<\/p>\n “So this competition is like a marathon, so long, so difficult.”<\/p>\n The Tunisian was named one of four candidates to receive the Manager of the Month award for January.<\/p>\n However, Lamouchi admitted he may not want the accolade after having poor fortune with the award last time out.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t have a good memory of that award,\u201d Lamouchi said<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI was so surprised and very happy to be\u00a0Manager of the Month for September,\u00a0but immediately after I received the award we lost to Wigan.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to say I don\u2019t want the award!<\/p>\n \u201cIt (the nomination) is just because we have been doing well. It is very positive for the players, for the club and for me and my staff.<\/p>\n \u201cBut this one would not be the most important one.
