Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they have recalled striker Tyler Walker<\/a> from Lincoln City.<\/p>\n

Impressed While Out on Loan<\/h3>\n

The 23-year-old has impressed during his loan with Lincoln City during the first half of this season.<\/p>\n

He has scored 16 times in 34 appearances for the Imps this season. Walker’s first for the club came during a 4-0 win against Southend United, where he converted from the penalty spot.<\/p>\n

The highlight for Walker during his time at the LNER Stadium came during a 5-3 victory against Ipswich Town. He registered a brace for the Imps that afternoon, which set him off on a run of scoring in five straight games.<\/p>\n

Walker returning to his parent club means that Lincoln manager now has just two strikers in his squad, and will be hoping that he can add to that before the transfer deadline.<\/p>\n

Competition for Sabri Lamouchi’s Squad?<\/h3>\n

Walker’s recall means that he is likely to add further competition to the Nottingham Forest squad.<\/p>\n

Sabri Lamouchi had been looking to add a second striker to his squad in a bid to aid their promotion push. Lewis Grabban has registered 16 goals during the first half of this season, but the Forest boss is looking to add competition to his squad.<\/p>\n

Walker’s recall is coupled with the arrival of Nuno da Costa<\/a> at the City Ground. Da Costa has joined<\/a> the club from French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.<\/p>\n

It means that the Forest now have healthy competition up-front as they look to earn promotion from the Championship.<\/p>\n

Sabri Lamouchi’s side are currently third in the Championship, two points off of the automatic promotion spots. After a run of five games without a win, they now have just one defeat in their last eight games.<\/p>\n

Nottingham Forest travel to Birmingham City in their next game.<\/p>\n
