Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> have confirmed that they have signed winger Daniel Podence<\/a> on a four-and-a-half-year deal.<\/p>\n

Exciting Winger<\/h3>\n

The 24-year-old arrives at Molineux with high expectations, having impressed with Greek club Olympiakos, whom he joins from.<\/p>\n

Last season saw Podence register five goals as well as set-up eight for his teammates, as his former side finished second in the Greek Super League.<\/p>\n

He has continued that form into the first half of this season, with four goals from 21 appearances.<\/p>\n

Podence will have to work hard to force his way into Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, due to the form of Adama Traore<\/a>. The Spaniard has five goals and eight assists this season for Wolves.<\/p>\n

What Was Said<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the official Wolves website, Podence said<\/a>: \u201cMy individual goals are to play as much as possible, help the team with goals and assists and collectively, I\u2019d like to qualify for the Champions League. That is a goal that\u2019s within our reach, and I hope we can have a better season than last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very excited. It was always a childhood dream of mine to play in the Premier League and I look at this achievement as a dream come true.<\/p>\n

\u201cWolves are a team with a big project, with ambitious goals to look forward to, where I\u2019ll get to meet former teammates with whom I had the pleasure to play with in the past and I hope to be very successful here.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club\u2019s evolution over the last years has been evident to people all over the world. Has been experiencing a visible growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first few times I\u2019ve heard about Wolverhampton was from the time Silas was playing here, around the 2000\u2019s I think, but now there\u2019s not even a comparison to be made, it\u2019s a much bigger club with very big aspirations.\u201d<\/p>\n
