The Premier League\u2019s basement side, Norwich City<\/a>, have signed midfielder Melvin Sitti on a permanent deal from FC Sochaux. However, the midfielder will return to Sochaux on loan for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

The Deal<\/h3>\n

Norwich announced via their website<\/a> they had signed the midfielder. Sitti arrives for an undisclosed fee signing a contract until the summer of 2024. However, Sitti will return to Sochaux on loan for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Sitti arrives as Norwich\u2019s third January signing after Ondrej Duda and Lukas Rupp. The Canaries are looking to secure their safety in the Premier League and Sitti is seen as a future star of the team.<\/p>\n

Sitti only made his senior debut in July and has become an important player in the Sochaux midfield. The 19-year-old will continue to help Sochaux before joining up with Norwich in the summer.<\/p>\n

What Was Said<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the Norwich website about his move, Sitti said<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m very happy and glad to sign for this club. I\u2019m so happy to be a part of the Norwich City family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI chose Norwich because I love the way they play. I\u2019m a big fan of the stadium as well. I have taken time to talk to my family and friends and I think it\u2019s the best choice for me to come here.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn football, it\u2019s always difficult to change. But that\u2019s life and this choice is a positive one. I think I\u2019m going to be very happy here.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going back to Sochaux to get more experience. I hope to play more games and then I hope I can come back next season and be ready to help the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait to be here next summer. Before that, I have to achieve my goals in Sochaux by playing more games. But when I come back, I will be ready.<\/p>\n

Manager Daniel Farke added:<\/a> \u201cMelvin is a very exciting player. He\u2019s young, talented and we believe he has real potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s had some very good experience of first-team football in France. We\u2019ll give him the time to further develop and an opportunity to impress.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really looking forward to seeing how much further on Melvin can progress and we\u2019re all excited to welcome him to Norwich City.\u201d<\/p>\n
