Cole arrives on a permanent deal from Wigan. He has signed an initial contract until the end of the season.

Cole has struggled to make an impact at Wigan spending the first half of the season at Scottish Premiership side Motherwell. However, he was recalled by Wigan in January on the basis he would leave the club again.

Cole is no stranger to League One having played for Fleetwood Town and Bradford City at this level. He has scored goals wherever he has played. He will join a Doncaster side looking to secure a top-six finish at the end of the season.

Rovers are tenth in League One just four points off the play-off places. But they have as many as three games in hand on some of their promotion rivals.

Doncaster face two league games in five days and certainly, Cole will part some part in both games.
