The Hatters have signed defender Peter Kioso from non-league Hartlepool United on a permanent deal. Kioso arrives for an undisclosed fee.<\/p>\n<h2>Luton Sign Peter Kioso from Hartlepool United<\/h2>\n<p>Luton announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lutontown.co.uk\/news\/2020\/january\/peter-kioso\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via their website<\/a> they had signed the defender. Kioso arrives from Hartlepool for an undisclosed fee. The versatile defender gives Graeme Jones a much-needed defensive option with Luton conceding the most goals in the Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Kioso has sparkled at Hartlepool making 70 appearances for the Pool scoring four goals in that time. The 20-year-old has been a regular fixture at Hartlepool winning plenty of admirers.<\/p>\n<p>He will join a team looking to secure their status in the Championship. Thus, Kioso will have to make a huge step up with the quality of the Championship significantly better than the National League.<\/p>\n<p>Kioso could make his debut when Luton face Derby in the Championship on January 28<sup>th<\/sup> at Kenilworth Road.<\/p>\n<h3>Peter Kioso Buzzing to Get Going<\/h3>\n<p>Luton&#8217;s new signing took an interview published on the\u00a0 Luton website about his move. Kioso said \u201cI\u2019m delighted to sign. With all the history that Luton has as a club, I\u2019m just buzzing to get going.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always been an ambition for me to get back into the Football League. I wouldn\u2019t be one to lie \u2013 the two years that I have been at Hartlepool, I\u2019ve been seeing how well Luton have been doing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone talks about Luton and they are definitely going to get to the highest stage possible. I want to be there to help. That\u2019s the reason why I came here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve seen that they are going to get a big new stadium, the new training ground, everything \u2013 the way they produce players is amazing here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Two current players Peter knows well are Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu and Brendan Galloway, adding: \u201cBrendan is a close friend and Pelly is my cousin. I think his story is amazing and it\u2019s a lot for me to look forward to. He\u2019s a person I look up to, as well as a footballer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI saw the stat that he\u2019s scored in every league that he\u2019s played in. The Conference, League Two, League One and Champ \u2013 and that\u2019s amazing. He\u2019s a great player and I\u2019m just looking forward to playing with the likes of Pelly and everybody else in the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Graeme Jones Happy With Signing<\/h3>\n<p>Manager Graeme Jones added: \u201cIn the last year-and-a-half he\u2019s played a lot of games for Hartlepool and we really believe that we\u2019ve signed a talented young full-back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s a bit of an all-rounder, physically good, decent in the air and a strong runner. A real good one for the future.
