Hull City<\/a> have made their second January signing. The Tigers have signed attacking player Martin Samuelsen<\/a> on a permanent deal from West Ham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hull City Sign Martin Samuelsen<\/h2>\n

Hull announced via their website they had signed the Norwegian attacker. Samuelsen arrives for an undisclosed fee and becomes Hull\u2019s second recruit this January.<\/p>\n

Samuelsen reunites with Hull manager Grant McCann<\/a> who was his manager during Samuelsen\u2019s loan spell at Peterborough.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old has been on a series of loans in several countries in Europe. The Norwegian attacker has spent time out in Holland, various clubs in England including Blackburn and Burton. His most recent spell was with Norwegian side FK Haugesund.<\/p>\n

Samuelsen scored 14 goals in 39 games for Haugesund. He will be hoping to carry that form into the Championship promotion battle with Hull on the cusp of the play-off places.<\/p>\n

Samuelsen could make his debut this weekend when Hull travels to Derby County this weekend.<\/p>\n

Samuelsen Gives Hull Another Creative Option<\/h3>\n

Hull have been heavily reliant on Jarrod Bowen<\/a> for their wins and goals this season. He has been in exceptional form and Hull will be desperate to keep him.<\/p>\n

However, signing both Herbie Kane<\/a> and Martin Samuelsen gives Hull more of a threat going forward. McCann is clearly trying to ease the pressure on Bowen with goals in short supply from the rest of the team.<\/p>\n

Samuelsen has struggled in English football but arguably his best loan spell in England was with Peterborough under McCann. Both Kane and Samuelsen bring more creativity to the Hull midfield.<\/p>\n

They are an excellent footballing side and certainly, Samuelsen fits their style of play. The Norwegian international will hope to finally settle in England after a series of loan spells away from West Ham.<\/p>\n

Grant McCann knows what he is getting from Samuelsen and he will be confident Samuelsen can help Hull sneak a place in the top six.<\/p>\n
