Swansea City<\/a> have made their third January signing. The Swans have signed midfielder Conor Gallagher on loan from Chelsea<\/a> for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Swansea announced via their website<\/a> they had signed the Chelsea midfielder. Gallagher arrives on loan from the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Gallagher reunites with Steve Cooper and becomes the Swans\u2019 third signing. Cooper continues to bring England\u2019s World Cup-winning squad to South Wales.<\/p>\n

Chelsea recalled Gallagher from his productive loan spell at Charlton on Tuesday. The 19-year-old made 26 appearances for the Addicks scoring six goals and assisting two others.<\/p>\n

Gallagher also reunites with England teammates Rhian Brewster<\/a> and Marc Guehi<\/a> who both joined Swansea last week.<\/p>\n

Gallagher could make his debut for Swansea this weekend against Wigan Athletic.<\/p>\n

What Was Said<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the Swansea website<\/a> about his move, Gallagher said: \u201cI\u2019m very excited to join a big club like Swansea City.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to hitting the ground running and making a contribution to the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have gained a lot of experience from my time with Charlton, I have played almost every minute in the Championship.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy whole time there was great, and this is a new challenge to get excited about.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there is a bit of expectation because I have scored a few goals, and I like that bit of pressure and I am looking forward to showing what I can do.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a box-to-box midfielder, I am hard-working, I like to think I am good technically and able to score and assist but defend too.<\/p>\n

Gallagher Reunites With Rhian Brewster and Marc Guehi<\/h3>\n

Gallagher also spoke about joining his two friends at Swansea Rhian Brewster and Marc Guehi. \u201cMarc and Rhian are two really good mates of mine. It makes it that bit easier over the first few days.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know each other on and off the pitch, they have been good helping me settle in.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I am also looking forward to getting to know the rest of the squad too and getting down to work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to help Swansea get in the play-offs because I definitely think we are capable of doing that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this squad, if we get a good run of games, we could even get automatic promotion because I don\u2019t think you want to be ruling anything out.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut, on a personal level, it will be about going one game at a time, taking it as it comes and trying to win each game.\u201d<\/p>\n
