Crystal Palace<\/a> have confirmed<\/a> that they have signed Everton<\/a> striker Cenk Tosun<\/a> on loan until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

What Was Said<\/h3>\n

Speaking to Crystal Palace website<\/a>, Chairman Steve Parish said: “We’re delighted to have secured Cenk’s services for the remainder of the season. We’ve enjoyed a great first half of the campaign and Cenk’s arrival will bolster our squad as we push for a top-half Premier League finish.<\/p>\n

“Cenk has a proven record as a goalscorer and we’ve admired him for some time, so I’m very pleased to welcome him to Crystal Palace.”<\/p>\n

Fresh Addition in Attack<\/h3>\n

Roy Hodgson has already had to deal with a depleted squad this season, with Palace being plagued by injuries.<\/p>\n

However, injuries have still not prevented the Eagles in finding a regular goalscorer. Jordan Ayew<\/a> is currently the top-scorer the season, with just five to his name.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Connor Wickham<\/a> is the only other striker to register a goal this season. However, he could be set for a loan<\/a> away from Selhurst Park in order to regain fitness.<\/p>\n

As a result, Cenk Tosun provides Roy Hodgson with fresh addition in attack.<\/p>\n

The arrival of the Turkish international may see Jordan Ayew move out into a wider position. Palace look set to continue without wingers Andros Townsend<\/a> and Jeffrey Schlupp<\/a> for the foreseeable future, meaning Hodgson has been left short in attack.<\/p>\n

Palace are currently ninth in the Premier League, having collected 28 points from 21 games.<\/p>\n

However, they have just one win in their last five games, a 2-1 win over West Ham<\/a> on Boxing Day.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, they are faced with two difficult games in the forthcoming weeks. They must take on Arsenal<\/a> at Selhurst Park, before travelling north to battle Manchester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n
