We have reached the 20th round of games, the first round of games to kick off the second half of the season. Leaders <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ligue1.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paris Saint Germain welcome Monaco, third and second clash as Marseille head to Rennes.<\/a> There is also a crunch match between Bordeaux and Lyon.<\/p>\n<h2>Ligue 1 Predictions<\/h2>\n<h2>Paris Saint Germain Welcome Monaco<\/h2>\n<p>Leaders <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonfootball.com\/category\/ligue-1\/paris-saint-germain\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paris Saint Germain<\/a> kick-off 2020 with a tasty clash with Monaco. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs this season after the reverse fixture was postponed.<\/p>\n<p>Paris Saint Germain ended 2019 excellently and will be hoping to bring that form into the new year. They will be hoping to maintain their seven-point lead at the top of the table.<\/p>\n<p>Monaco head to Paris under new management after Leonardo Jardim was sacked during the winter break. Former Spain manager Roberto Moreno is the new man at the helm. He couldn\u2019t have been given a more difficult start.<\/p>\n<p>Monaco are in good form heading to this game. The Principality club have won three of their last four games. Paris Saint Germain have won six on the trot.<\/p>\n<p>A brilliant game in prospect.<\/p>\n<h3>Third and Second Clash in the First Ligue 1 Game of 2020<\/h3>\n<p>Two in-form sides clash in the opening game of 2020 as Marseille head to Rennes.<\/p>\n<p>Second place Marseille are in terrific form winning seven of their last eight games. Andre Villas-Boas has done an excellent job thus far, but his team will face a stern test from inform Rennes.<\/p>\n<p>Julian Stephan\u2019s team have soared up the table ending 2019 terrifically. Rennes have won their last five league games. Overall, its seven wins from the last eight games. Rennes\u2019 young team are flying high.<\/p>\n<p>Five points separate second and third with the pressure on Rennes to close the gap to Marseille. A tasty game between two high flying teams.<\/p>\n<h3>LWOF Ligue 1 Predictions<\/h3>\n<h4>Rennes vs Marseille<\/h4>\n<p>A tasty clash between second and third. Both teams in tremendous form<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rennes 2-2 Marseille <\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Amiens vs Montpellier<\/h4>\n<p>The home side need something. Amiens have lost five of their last six games. Montpellier ended a three-match winless run last time out<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amiens 1-1 Montpellier<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Angers vs Nice<\/h4>\n<p>The home side have won just once in their last five. Inconsistencies continue to frustrate Patrick Vieira and Nice. But they have gone unbeaten in their last three games<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angers 1-0 Nice <\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Bordeaux vs Lyon<\/h4>\n<p>A crucial clash between two underperforming teams. Paulo Sousa\u2019s Bordeaux have lost their last three games. Lyon have won just once in four games. Something has got to give<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bordeaux 1-2 Lyon<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Metz vs Strasbourg<\/h4>\n<p>The home side are winless in eight games. Too many draws for Metz this season. Overall, it&#8217;s one win in ten for Metz. Strasbourg are much improved and have won their last three league games<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metz 1-3 Strasbourg<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Nimes vs Reims<\/h4>\n<p>September was the last time Nimes won a league game. 12 games without a win. Reims are unbeaten in six but have drawn four of those.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nimes 1-1 Reims<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Toulouse vs Brest<\/h4>\n<p>Managerless Toulouse need a morale boost. The home side have lost their last nine league games. Brest also need the points to pull away from the relegation zone. They are winless in three.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toulouse 0-0 Brest <\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Dijon vs Lille<\/h4>\n<p>The home side need the points. Dijon are winless in five games collecting just three points. In contrast, Lille have been in good form prior to Monaco battering them 5-0. Galtier will demand a response.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dijon 0-2 Lille<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Paris Saint Germain vs Monaco<\/h4>\n<p>A tasty game between two sides in good form. PSG have won six in a row, Monaco are unbeaten in five. Roberto Moreno\u2019s first game in charge of Monaco should be eventful<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paris Saint Germain 3-1 Monaco<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Saint Etienne vs Nantes<\/h4>\n<p>Claude Puel\u2019s honeymoon period is over. Les Verts have lost their last three games. Overall, it&#8217;s one win in six. Nantes have been largely consistent with their results. A few wins and a few losses.
