Grady Diangana<\/a> could make his long-awaited return to action this weekend provided that he is still a West Bromwich Albion<\/a> player. The Baggies travel to The Valley to face Charlton Athletic still waiting on West Ham<\/a> to make a decision regarding the winger as David Moyes weighs up his options.<\/p>\n

Grady Diangana Set for West Brom Return<\/h2>\n

West Ham Considering Their Options<\/h3>\n

West Ham have until the 14th of January to recall Grady Diangana from his loan spell at the Midlands club. David Moyes is reportedly keen<\/a> for Diangana to remain with the Baggies but is open to ending his stay prematurely if needed.<\/p>\n

Although Moyes would prefer Diangana to gain the experience of a full Championship season at a high-flying West Brom. Should the Londoners receive injuries to either Andriy Yarmolenko<\/a> or Michail Antonio<\/a> in the coming days, they could have a change of heart. Particularly if they are unable to acquire a replacement.<\/p>\n

Diangana, 21, has scored five goals for the Baggies in the first half of the season and has been one of their standout players. The injury he picked up against Birmingham City would shine a light on just how important he has been to Slaven Bili\u0107<\/a>. His side haven\u2019t won any of their four league games since, meaning they\u2019ve failed to win any league game this season in which the winger hasn\u2019t featured.<\/p>\n

Charlton Injury Crisis\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lee Bowyer<\/a>\u2019s Charlton squad has been decimated by injuries, leading to them tumbling towards the relegation zone despite a positive start to their season. It\u2019s now just one win in their last 14 league fixtures after winning four of their first six to kick off the campaign.<\/p>\n

More than ten first-team players are currently out with injuries, including West Brom loanees Sam Field<\/a> and Jonathan Leko<\/a>, who would likely have been unable to feature this week regardless. With Jonny Williams<\/a>, Josh Cullen<\/a>, George Lapslie<\/a>, Lewis Page<\/a>, Erhun Oztumer<\/a>, Macauley Bonne<\/a>, Tomer Hemed<\/a>, Jake Forster-Caskey<\/a>, Chuks Aneke<\/a>, Beram Kayal<\/a>, and Ben Amos<\/a> all on the treatment table.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FA Cup Warm-up<\/h3>\n

This will be the second visit to The Valley in less than seven days for West Brom. Kenneth Zohore<\/a> scored the only goal of the third round tie as Albion knocked Charlton out of the F.A Cup on Sunday. The sides made a combined 20 changes from their league games on New Year\u2019s Day with the league fixture taking priority.<\/p>\n

West Brom will be pleased to exit the sticky Christmas period nine points clear of Brentford in third place. But, they will be desperate to return to winning ways. A well-rested squad coupled with the return of Diangana spells trouble for the Addicks, themselves desperate to halt their slide towards the drop zone.<\/p>\n
