With Tottenham Hotspur <\/a>suffering an injury nightmare after Moussa Sissoko<\/a> was ruled out until April 2020<\/a>, the last team they want to face is Liverpool<\/a>. Harry Kane<\/a> (hamstring), Tanguy N\u2019Dombele (groin) and Sissoko are all facing time on the sidelines and with a squad short on depth, Tottenham look in trouble.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur’s Injury Nightmare<\/h2>\n

Is it time for questions to be asked of the training methods at Tottenham? Since joining Tottenham in the summer, N\u2019Dombele has impressed when he has played but, picked up injuries too often. Kane has had ankle injuries over the past three seasons. Now a pulled hamstring looks set to keep him out for months. Add to this Harry Winks<\/a> struggling to regain full match fitness from injuries, Ben Davies<\/a> sidelined and Victor Wanyama<\/a> nowhere to be seen. Hugo Lloris<\/a> is still struggling to recover from injuring himself away at Leicester City although that was unfortunate.<\/p>\n

Pulled muscles and little knocks are robbing Jose Mourinho of his best players. It makes the last few months of the season look increasingly grim for Spurs.<\/p>\n

Transfer Failures<\/h3>\n

Tottenham did bring in new players in the summer but two failed windows are coming back to pile the misery on the North London club. Performance levels have been dropping for 12 months and the squad has hardly changed in the past five seasons.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur have the new stadium to pay for but can not afford to let January pass by without bringing in fresh, quality talent. Tottenham lacked energy in the final months of Mauricio Pochettino<\/a>\u2019s reign. Under Mourinho, they lack life. Slow football, long balls to smaller players and no one better to come in. The failures are plain to see and Daniel Levy has to change his transfer strategy.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Suffering Self Inflicted<\/h3>\n

No team can legislate for injuries. What you can legislate for is not freshening up a squad each year. Liverpool have done that and are now set to reap the rewards. Tottenham Hotspur are suffering from self-inflicted apathy in the transfer window and are going backwards on and off the pitch.<\/p>\n

The Tottenham suffering will continue unless the owners start seeing what is in front of their eyes. A squad five years old and no longer good enough to be a top-four team. With a new stadium to pay for, lack of success on the pitch is not an option.<\/p>\n
