Leyton Orient have announced Interim Head Coach Ross Embleton will take the job on a permanent basis.<\/p>\n
Ross Embleton has signed a 12-month rolling contract at the Breyer Group Stadium.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old was initially appointed as caretaker manager, following the tragic passing of former manager Justin Edinburgh.<\/p>\n
Embleton began the season as caretaker and oversaw a steady run of results, including a run of three wins in October, where they conceded just once.<\/p>\n
However, he was then demoted back to his previous role at the club when Carl Fletcher was appointed as first-team manager.<\/p>\n
Fletcher’s reign, though, was short-lived. He lasted just shy of a month with the east London club, failing to win any of his five games in charge.<\/p>\n
As a result, Embleton took over once more, and has been guiding the O’s since.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the official Leyton Orient website<\/a>, Nigel Travis explained the appointment: “For a number of reasons it has been a difficult season and therefore the board, alongside Martin Ling, have been very deliberate in the search for the club’s new Head Coach and we are pleased to appoint Ross Embleton to that role.”<\/p>\n Embleton will now be tasked with keeping Orient in League Two. They currently lie in 19th place on 26 points, eight points ahead of the relegation zone.<\/p>\n However, they are currently in a poor run of form, with just one win in their last ten games.<\/p>\n As a result, the 38-year-old will be hoping that he can change that around. The O’s face Grimsby Town on Saturday 11 January, before facing play-off contenders Port Vale.<\/p>\n Embleton will be hoping that his current January signings can hit the ground running.<\/p>\n Loanee George Marsh<\/a> has extended his stay, while they have also signed goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux<\/a>.<\/p>\n Main Photo<\/p>\n
