Toulouse <\/a>has sacked manager Antoine Kombouare after just eleven games in charge. The former Paris Saint Germain and Guingamp manager only arrived in October but won just one game during his brief tenure. Sporting director Denis Zanko is back in caretaker charge.<\/p>\n

Record-Breaking Run Of Losses Cost Him<\/h2>\n

Toulouse announced via a club statement<\/a> that Kombouare had been relieved of his duties. Kombouare notched just one win and that was his first game in charge against Lille. However, since that, Toulouse have lost nine consecutive league games and suffered a humiliating loss in the French league cup to fourth-tier\u00a0Saint-Pryve Saint-Hilare.<\/p>\n

The cup loss proved too much for the Toulouse hierarchy and Kombouare was dismissed. Toulouse\u2019s season has been nothing short of disastrous and now find themselves looking for their third manager of the season. They are rock bottom of Ligue 1 amassing just twelve points from their 19 league games. A record-breaking run of losses has left the players at rock bottom and they need a huge second half of the season to avoid relegation.<\/p>\n

Sporting director Denis Zanko is in caretaker charge while the club search for Kombouare\u2019s successor. He is tasked with igniting Toulouse\u2019s flailing season while a successor is found.<\/p>\n

A Huge Job Lies Ahead for Whoever Comes In<\/h2>\n

Toulouse\u2019s new manager must immediately hit the ground running. They are rock bottom of Ligue 1 and have yet to win away from home. Kombouare couldn\u2019t turn their season around and surviving the drop will be the task for the new manager.<\/p>\n

Goals and clean sheets have eluded Toulouse this campaign. However, they do have good players who desperately need a confidence boost. Efthymios Koulouris started the second well notching four league goals but they have dried up and he is low on confidence. The experienced Max Gradel has yet to find his best form while Mathieu Dossevi is making the chances but his teammates are struggling to find the net. A big job ahead for whoever takes over.<\/p>\n

Denis Zanko is expected to take charge of Toulouse\u2019s first league of 2020 against Brest.<\/p>\n
