2019 has been an interesting ride for fans of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club<\/a>. Away defeats aplenty, a Champions League Final<\/a> and the sacking of their manager<\/a>. There is rarely dull moment surrounding the North London club but what were Tottenham Hotspur’s best three moments of the year?<\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur’s Best Three Moments in 2019<\/h2>\n

Number Three – Tottenham Hotspur in Transfer Window Signings Shock<\/h3>\n

Summer 2019 finally saw Daniel Levy and Tottenham Hotspur part with money and sign new players. For the previous two transfer windows, not one new face had come through the door. Many cited stadium costs as the reason as well as the manager constantly stressing he was happy with the team. That in itself was a soap opera as Mauricio Pochettino<\/a> hopped between saying Tottenham must \u2018take risks\u2019 and not needing to sign anyone. Whatever the message was, it was certainly one that even he didn\u2019t know from one week to the next which it was!<\/p>\n

The big signing was that of Tanguy N\u2019Dombele. A muscular and skilful midfielder, he is seen as the ideal replacement for Moussa Dembele<\/a>. At \u00a365 million it was a sign of intent from Spurs.<\/p>\n

Jack Clarke<\/a> joined from Leeds United only to be loaned back, before the arrival of Giovanni Lo Celso on a loan deal with an option to buy depending on appearances.<\/p>\n

Ryan Sessegnon<\/a> has long been linked with Tottenham and Pochettino finally got his man.<\/p>\n

So Spurs\u2019 third-best moment of 2019 goes to spending money in the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Number Two – Lucas Moura<\/a> Becomes a Legend<\/h3>\n

The incredible and improbable route to the Champions League Final has so many incredible moments that to choose just one was tough. But the semi-final second leg in Amsterdam against Ajax was emotional, sensational and will live long in the memory for Spurs fans all over the World. Two-nil down at half-time, Tottenham looked down and out and their journey coming to an end. Lucas Moura had other ideas. On 55 minutes he gave Tottenham belief. Just four minutes later and it was all square. Ajax still had the upper hand and in the 96th minute, Moussa Sissoko<\/a> pumped a ball forward. Fernando Llorente<\/a> beat his man and headed on to Dele Alli<\/a>. He flicked the ball around the corner and Moura fired home. The Ajax players were flat on their back and fronts as Tottenham Hotspur completed a sensational comeback.<\/p>\n

Victory in the final was not to be, but this game will be forever etched on the minds of Tottenham Hotspur and hat trick hero, Lucas Moura.<\/p>\n

Number Three – Home at Last<\/h3>\n

After what seemed liked more false dawns than a few, on 3rd April 2019, Tottenham Hotspur finally arrived home. A new state of the art stadium with acoustics designed to make it a cauldron of noise. Players past and present adorning the pitch, flags waving, dance and song on the pitch, fireworks and the glorious cockerel standing proud once more. This isn\u2019t just a new stadium. It\u2019s on the same spot as White Hart Lane and whatever the naming rights throw up, Tottenham Hotspur will always play at White Hart Lane<\/a>.<\/p>\n
