Liverpool<\/a> are set to loan out young players Curtis Jones<\/a> and Rhian Brewster in the January transfer window. Klopp had initially intended to use them as part of the first-team squad, but given the team’s on-field success and the imminent arrival<\/a> of Takumi Minamino<\/a>, the pair will find game time limited at Anfield. Therefore, a temporary move away will benefit all parties involved.<\/p>\n

Curtis Jones and Rhian Brewster to Go on Loan<\/h2>\n

Where Will They Go?<\/h3>\n

Rhian Brewster was heavily linked with a temporary switch to Austrian Bundesliga side, and former Champions League opponents, RB Salzburg. However, Goal’s Neil Jones<\/a> is now reporting that this transfer is unlikely to happen. Instead, it seems likely that Brewster will find himself at a Championship club for the second half of the season. The hope will be that he will be able to establish himself as a regular and prove that he is ready to take the next step in his career.<\/p>\n

Curtis Jones is also set for a switch to the Championship, with Swansea City<\/a> amongst the favourites for the services of both players. Both players are expected to feature in the Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa<\/a> if deemed fit before flying out to Qatar to join the first-team squad. This means that any transfer negotiations with the players will have to wait until the Reds’ next three games are over.<\/p>\n

Who Are Jones and Brewster?<\/h3>\n

Rhian Brewster is a young striker who has made two first-team appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Both have come in this season’s Carabao Cup. He impressed and scored regularly during pre-season, though has found it difficult to break into the team ahead of the likes of Mohamed Salah<\/a>, Sadio Mane<\/a> and Roberto Firmino<\/a>. Klopp clearly has faith in the player, however, as he refused to sanction a loan move in the summer window.<\/p>\n

Curtis Jones is an 18-year-old winger who recently made his Premier League debut against Bournemouth<\/a>. Like Brewster, he has featured predominantly in the Carabao Cup for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season. He capped off his performance against Arsenal<\/a> in the last 16 by scoring the winning penalty.<\/p>\n
