Owners at West Ham United<\/a> are said to be losing faith in manager Manuel Pellegrini following the club\u2019s latest loss at home to Arsenal<\/a> last night, according to Sky Sports<\/a>. The Hammers led thanks to Angelo Ogbonna\u2019s header but were stunned by three goals in nine minutes from Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.<\/p>\n

West Ham United Board Considering Manuel Pellegrini Position<\/h2>\n

West Ham looked as though they had turned a corner last week when they produced a surprise 1-0 win away at Chelsea<\/a>. It ended a run of eight games without a win in all competitions, which stretched back to their 2-0 success over Manchester United at the end of September.<\/p>\n

However, a 2-0 loss away at Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> quickly brought the Irons back down to earth, and this latest capitulation against the managerless Gunners has only sped up rumours that Pellegrini is on the brink.<\/p>\n

It adds more importance to West Ham\u2019s visit to fellow strugglers Southampton<\/a> this weekend, with the Saints sitting two places and one point behind Pellegrini\u2019s side going into the game. Get this one wrong, and they could be starting next week in the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Manuel Pellegrini Not Worried About Position<\/h3>\n

Although this is a dire run of form for West Ham, it\u2019s only reported at the moment that the board are discussing whether to keep Manuel Pellegrini in place. They want to assess their options before potentially beginning the process of removing the Chilean from the role.<\/p>\n

Pellegrini himself says he is not worried about facing the sack. After the Arsenal defeat, he told BBC Sport<\/a>: \u201cIn our last five games at home we got one draw and conceded three goals in our last three. I am more worried about that.<\/p>\n

“For 65 minutes there was only one team on the pitch,” he added. “But we must score the second goal to decide the game. If Arsenal had scored three times from seven chances, that would be different. The game was decided in three minutes. We need to concentrate more, be more consistent and more solid.”<\/p>\n
