This is according to Simon Mullock of the Mirror, who claims that Liverpool lead the race, whilst both Manchester United and Chelsea are also key suitors.

Jadon Sancho Can Light Up Premier League if Move Materialises

Not for Sale Yet

Despite all the interest in the player, he will not be on the move in January. Dominic Boothe and the Manchester Evening News report that sporting director Michael Zorc values the player too highly, a crucial player in the first team.

“We’re continuing to plan with him,” said Zorc. “He’s a fundamental player for us and I do not see any scenario where he leaves us.

“We have already had some situations with him to talk about, and there have been a lot of interviews in the last few weeks.”

So far this season, the player has made 20 appearances, scoring nine goals and notching ten assists. This is a fantastic return with the Englishman almost scoring in every competition in which he has played in. Thus, he is a vital player for Dortmund in both creating and scoring goals.

Sancho Can Boost Clubs Next Season

It may be a tall order to bring the player in this season. However, the summer could be a long one for Borussia Dortmund to defend this key talent. This is especially due to the previous rumours of the player’s unsettled nature, as Boothe notes.

Manchester United

Marcus Rashford has stepped up recently, with important goals against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Now he has scored ten goals in 16 matches. However, his fellow striker Antony Martial has mustered only four goals in ten matches. As a result, there is somewhat of a goal shortage at the club. Indeed, this is best illustrated by the fact that they are lowest scorers out of the current top six in Premier League.

Sancho can definitely help them to boost their goal tally. It would also allow Rashford some support, rotation and competition. All of which can only help the Red Devils to excel and push on.

Chelsea

Rob Draper for the Mail On Sunday claims that Chelsea will make a £100 million club-record bid for Sancho. The club are now free to make transfers after their ban was lifted, reduced after an appeal.

Frank Lampard would ideally want to change his clubs recent poor form. They were stunned 3-1 by Duncan Ferguson‘s Everton. It would, therefore, be all too optimistic to hope for Sancho to transfer in January. Despite this, The Sun claim that the Blues are looking to pursue a winger, which could also come in the form of Wilfried Zaha or Ousmane Dembele. Either of these options will certainly not come cheap.

Without an in-form Tammy Abraham, Chelsea have stuttered. They too, like United, have been stifled up-front. Sancho would complement many of the squad’s current players. Again, his pace and dynamism would provide a great boost.

Liverpool

A final suitor is current league leaders Liverpool. They are still flying at the top of the table and perceivably have the title on ice before Christmas. That said, regardless of what happens this season, bringing in a player like Sancho would be another step forward. The forward is currently 19 years of age and is already scoring goals for fun. Acquiring a player of his current ability and future potential would ensure that Liverpool can keep on moving up.

Out of all the clubs interested, Liverpool have the most talent already at their disposal. And that shows. But, investing in a player like Sancho is investing in the club’s future, giving them the best hopes of sustaining success.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Jadon Sancho is on fire for Borussia Dortmund who are adamant that they wish to keep their talented player.
